Small Wells

“For us, this really was a property that was love at first sight! We moved from an ultra-modern property to this charming 16th and 18th Century house with over 6,800sq.ft. of accommodation. When we visited the property we knew that it was the family home we had been looking for and made an offer after just one viewing! We have lived here for over 18 years and it has been a fantastic house for our daughter to grow up in,” says Kevin.

“Our daughter and her friends adore this home as it provides them with the perfect amount of independence. It has hosted some brilliant parties too! We have hosted many movie nights, pool parties and summer barbeques. The garden is the perfect place to relax with a large 100ft. wide patio stretching the length of the property. There is a twisted magnolia tree which we sit under and a large pond with plenty of wildlife. The garden is enclosed and totally secure providing us with all the privacy we could need.”

“I will miss the warmth this house brings my family and me, I immediately relax as soon as I step inside. My favourite room is the living room with its large French doors which sweep open onto the lawn. It has a high intricate ceiling with a large York stone open fireplace which is great in the winter. The house also has excellent storage facilities. The outbuildings are incredibly versatile, at one point we had a squash court located in one and we have since transformed this into a gym,” continues Kevin.

“The property is located on a main road within the village of Wormley and is a short 50 yards walk to a hub of small shops including a barbers, florists, hairdressers and DIY shop. The train station is approximately a 20 minute walk away with a direct train link to London. Trains run to London Liverpool Street within 25 minutes, making it a very reasonable commute despite being in the countryside. There are excellent local primary and secondary schools nearby which my daughter attended and have successfully seen her through to further her education at University.”

“We will miss this house greatly, it has been a welcoming family home which has provided all of us with many happy memories over the years,” concludes Kevin.*
