A Quest to be updated of an emerging technology called 3D Printing also known as DIGITAL MANUFACTURING a
Game Changing technology.
3D PRINTING WORLD SCHOOL Organised by Trinity Media & Marketing Solutions & Indian Dental Association will be conducted in the WORLD DENTAL SHOW on 7th & 8th October 2017.
We will conducting lectures, workshop with 3D Printed Anatomy, 3D printing machine in Display with the latest technology in Hardware and software for professionals.
Organiser Strategic Partner Platform Institutional Partner
A Concept designed and created by Trinity Media & Marketing Solutions
Dear Respondents,
It gives me immense pleasure to share the potential of a Game Changing technology called 3D Printing. This is indeed a unique technology which is benefiting almost all sectors. And since we are operating in a digital world a technology like this can only help change the dynamics of manufacturing for product making to benefit the end users. We are happy to be associate with Indian Dental Association as our Institutional Partner identifying new technologies for their members. And with pleasure we see an opportunity to participate as Media & Strategic Partners to promote the 3D Printing technology in the IDA event WORLD DENTAL SHOW 2017. The technology is also called Additive manufacturing, Rapid Prototyping and DIGITAL MANUFACTURING. How does this operate? In 3D printing, the first step is to make a virtual design of the desired object, and subsequently the virtual design is made in a CAD file by using a 3D scanner or by using a 3D modeling program with a software. The next step is to get the 3D file to print it; the 3D modeling software in the 3D printer will "slice" the design into numerous layers, and uses the material to create the object layer by layer. It is a process of making 3D objects using plastic, metal, ceramic, wood, gold powder and composite materials, usually layer upon layer, to build physical models, prototypes, patterns, tooling components, and production parts. There is a great deal of R & D going into the various materials to ensure it can be used for various requirements. It is estimated that the global 3D printer market will grow at a CAGR of 48.5% during the period 2016-2020. Industries & Sectors benefiting from the technology are Aerospace, Medical – Dental, Maxillofacial, Craniofacial, Cosmetic Surgery, Medical equipment’s, Orthopedics and Bio-printing, tissue engineering, education and many other sectors in engineering, automobile, Architectures etc. The Medical & Healthcare is expected to be one of the fastest-growing sectors within the overall market, expanding at a compound annual growth rate of 20-25 percent over the next half-decade told by experts. And the key to this transition is awareness, training, education and propagation. And this is the role of TRINITY MEDIA & MARKETING SOLUTIONS to ensure the dissemination is made through platforms. 3D PRINTING WORLD is the platform with the concept – “3D Printing for All – Creative Imagination made real” www.3dprintingworld.in
Under the platform is the 3D Printing World School where training and education is provided to all the sector heads and participants. And in this case we have a dedicated one day program for all the members of IDA and other attending from Medical & Health care sector to recognize excellence in 3D Printing for the Dental & Maxillofacial. Dentistry, Maxillofacial, Craniofacial and cosmetic surgery is a field which is increasingly experiencing the impact of digitalization. Digital manufacturing is the future for efficiency, speed & reliability. And it is imperative for medical professionals to be updated of the ongoing digital developments with substantial changes. The future is 3D Printing also called DIGITAL MANUFACTURING. Scanning, CAD and 3D Printing will take over traditional procedures and will change the workflow between the different parties involved (dentists, Maxillofacial surgeons and dental laboratories). New players will arise and claim their part of the business, a business that is set to grow at steady pace in the coming years. It is estimated the global dental device market will reach $12.7 billion by 2020. 3D printing has already found substantial traction in the dental implant, Maxillofacial & craniofacial markets. But is not just about 3D printing itself. Also scanning, software, materials, imaging have an essential role with a proper training. Trinity Media & Marketing Solutions have taken a conscious effort to educate and disseminate the technology to the Medical respondents attending the World Dental Show scientific program held on 7th October 2017.
Thanking You,
Dr. Shibu John,
CEO & Founder, Trinity Media & Marketing Solutions [email protected]

Dr. Kripa thank you for consenting to speak to DT India about your experi-ences in the field of Laser Dentistry. Tell us how it all startedDr. Kripa Johar: After my masters certification in laser dentistry from Vienna, I started my laser dentistry practice in 2006 in Bangalore, Karnataka. When I decided to start my practice, laser dentistry was an unknown and undiscovered mode of treatment.
Moreover there was no more than one or two dealer for the diode laser and erbium lasers. It was a difficult beginning of creating awareness for both dentists and patients alike but ten years later I can finally say it was a fruitful journey.
Laser is the buzz word today in dentistry. How
has its advent benefitted clinicians and patients? Laser dentistry I believe is beneficial to everyone. For clinicians it has opened up treatments that were not possible before. It has also provided them with a tool that now provides for a more advanced and better form of dentistry. Dental lasers are commonly used for soft-tissue applications, including surgical, cosmetic and endodontic sterilization. As lasers allow surgical procedures on soft tissue to be performed with no sutures and less anaesthesia, they are increasingly used in oral surgical and mucogingival procedures. A laser, is the most versatile instrument in dentistry today. Besides mucogingival procedures, periodontal treatment has gained most from the use of laser technology. More patients are definitely motivated to
undergo various periodontal procedures done with lasers compared with conventional surgery. Release of tongue-tie in infants, gingivectomies and operculectomies are some of the procedures that are simplified with laser.
Treatments provided by laser are less invasive than conventional approach of using a scalpel. It provides for better infection control due to its bacteriocidal effect. It is more painless, highly advanced and causes much less damage to the tissues. Laser Dentistry leads to lesser complications lesser operative fatigues when used correctly.
Do you think the cost involved in owning a Laser has been a deterrent in its acceptance?I think the most common misconception still is that laser dentistry is for the elite
