Just a month after leading their team to the Women’s College World Series, the University of Oklahoma’s Keilani Ricketts (San Jose, Ca-lif.) and Jessica Shults (Valencia, Calif.) will step back on the field at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium,
this time wearing the Red, White and Blue. Both Ricketts and Shults are making their second appear-ance in the World Cup with Team USA. Both players were part of a
squad that won Gold a year ago. Ricketts was one of 12 athletes named to the USA
roster in January of this year. Shults was invited to the USA Women’s National Team
Selection Camp in Ashland, Ohio earlier this
month where she competed
with 20 other elite players from across the country for the remain-ing five spots on the roster. After an impressive camp, Shults was added to the team. F o l l o w i n g the World Cup both players will travel with Team USA to Canada for the Cana-dian Open Fastpitch Championships and the World Champion-ships in July.
