I’m getting a severance. How will that affect Unemployment Insurance (UI)?
While you must report earnings if you are working while claiming UI, on an Oregon claim, severance pay is not reportable as earnings. On an Oregon claim, don’t report severance when claiming a week of UI benefits.

Remember, you need to meet weekly eligibility requirements. These requirements and helpful tips are in the Claimant Handbook at www.employment.oregon.gov
