This workshop will benefit to young researchers, M.Sc. and B.Tech. students who are aspiring a career in astronomy & astrophysics as it will provide mentoring and training experiences to them. The workshop will consist of series of lectures delivered by eminent research persons in the filed of astronomy & astrophysics. NIT Rourkela is one of the premier national level institutions for providing science & technical education in the country. The main objective of the Institute is to produce quality engineers and scientists in graduate and post-graduate levels in various branches of engineering and science. The department of Physics and Astronomy offers undergraduate and post-graduate programs as well as doctoral research program for motivated students looking forward to pursue a career in physics and astronomy. Srianand (IUCAA, Pune) Prof. Jayant Murthy (IIA, Bangalore) Applications are invited from M.Sc. and B.Tech. students, young research scholars, faculty members from Universities, Institutes and Colleges for participation in this workshop. Research scholars, M.Sc. and B.Tech. Students need to arrange one recommendation letter which should be sent to [email protected] within the last date of application. Travel and local hospitality will be provided to all outstation participants (M.Sc./B.Tech. - SL Class, Research Scholars/Faculty – IIIAC Class).
