Indonesia cement consumption seen rising 10% Government infrastructure drive to increase cement sales in the market.(CW G ROUP ) Indonesia's cement consumption is forecast to rise above 10%, from 55

million tons in 2012 to 62 million tons this year, reports Vietnam Plus.Senior official Ministry of Industry Indonesia Tuti Rahayu said the country's cementdemand this year will increase, due to increased levels of implementation ofinfrastructure development projects across the country in the framework ofimplementation of the Plan expand and accelerate overall economic growth (MP3EI)of the Government of Indonesia.

Very positive outlook



According to the report, Indonesia's domestic cement consumption is continuing to goup, with an increase of 14.5% in 2012, from 48 million tons in 2011, of which the Easthas the highest rate in the country with 54%. With this momentum, Indonesia to buildat least two new cement plants each year to meet domestic demand.A number of private companies and the government has started building new cementproduction plant in Java, Sumatra, Sulawesi and Papua. Company such as state- owned PT Semen Indonesia plans to build a factory in Central Java in the first halfand another factory in West Sumatra during the second half of this year, with thecapacity of each plant 2, 5-3 million tons / year.
