Introduction to Subway

• Subway is an American restaurant franchise that primarily sells submarine sandwiches (subs), salads, and pizzas. It is owned and operated by Doctor's Associates, Inc. (DAI). Subway is one of the fastest growing franchises in the world with approximately 33,556 restaurants in 92 countries/territories as of October 1, 2010. It is the largest single-brand restaurant chain globally and is the second largest restaurant operator globally after Yum! Brands

Recommendations:• Proper storage area need to be provided to stack

boxes• Chemicals (cleaning agent) should be in closed

cabinet when not in use.• If water is accumulated on the floor, it should be

clean as soon as possible to avoid mold.• Position of sprinklers should be changed.• Proper gloves should be provided to use oven or

any other hot equipment.• Nothing should be kept near an electric board

Conclusion

• The inspection we conducted, gave us an opportunity to have some practical knowledge on the processes of inspection. We tried our best to apply the theoretical knowledge we learnt in the course of Employee Health and Safety, and we tried to conduct the inspection process proficiently
