Tested and approved to BS EN 131, our range of Werner fi breglass ladders are designed for industrial applications and offerstrength, safety and durability, and are ideally suited to any area where there is a possibility of an electrical hazard. The ladders feature non-conductive fi breglass side rails which have excellent insulation properties. All laddershave large ‘D’ shaped aluminium rungs, positioned at the correct working angle for maximum comfort.

As standard, ladders come with rounded safety feet with slip resistant tread. Uniquely, our ladder rungs arejoined to large aluminium plates and are riveted to the side rails. This allows any damaged rungs to bereplaced easily, avoiding costly replacement of the complete ladder. All ladders are side rope operatedwith a ‘fail-safe’ steel rung-lock mechanism. A leather pole grip is available for use on poles or lightingcolumns. Swivel feet and shrouded fl y rungs can be ordered as added extras. Ladders are ratedat a maximum permissible load of 150kg.

Werner Fibreglass Sectional Ladder G02

Fibreglass Tapered Sectional LadderThis unique Sectional Ladder delivers a maximum height of 21 feet. The sections are tapered and stiles overlap. The rungs nest in a channel on the top of the adjoining section and are then locked in place using the hand operated taper lock system.

This ladder system is very adaptable: by adding up to 3 sections to the base, the ladder can be used at heights of 11’, 16’ and 21’. Ideal where space in a vehicle is limited.

Moulded end caps are available for the base and middle sections. The base section comes with swivel type safety shoes as standard.

Ladder StopperCAT NO : STO24

The Ladder Stopper is manufactured from a ‘T’ shaped aluminium extrusion bonded into an 11mm vulcanised rubber base with 2mm deep grooves at the top and bottom. The weight of the ladder and its user are spread throughout the Stopper over a large area. Not only does the upright aluminium plate help prevent the ladder slipping outwards, it also helps prevent ladder fl ip where the ladder rotates due to overreaching.

Designed and developed with safety and ease of installation as the paramount criteria Zone 1 Fibreglass Scaffold Systems offer a versatile means of access for the Electricity Supply Industry.

Manufactured and tested to 100kV per foot, the unique non-conductive properties of the fi breglass system offer a safer means of access when working in an electrical environment and particularly helps to overcome the problems associated with long lengths of aluminium being erected in sub-stations. Zone 1 fi breglass towers are widely used by the Industry as a platform for hot stick working for live maintenance of overhead power lines.

The next generation of aluminium scaffolding systems, manufactured using state-of-the-art laser cutting and robotic welding technology.

This aluminium tower system offers all the benefi ts of Boss Ladderspan plus some great new features. Technological advancements such as laser cutting and robotic welding have contributed greatly to the quality and durability of the system. Boss Evolution scaffold towers are manufactured to the same and improved high quality standard as the Boss original tower, but feature tube to tube welding, creating ‘T-less’ aluminium frames which increase rigidity, strength and reduce the weight of frames. Developed to improve the safety of operators working in sub-stations, the SSP allows the user to raise his point of attachment for fall arrest equipment to a height convenient for his working position. This prevents the potentially bad practice of attaching at foot level or around insulator stacks of unknown strength. The SSP is a transportable, temporary anchor device, is CE approved and tested and certifi ed to EN 795, Class B. It is used for individual protection of persons against falling from heights and for rescue purposes.

Designed to fi t on horizontal steel or concrete beams and structures, the SSP is light in weight and quick and easy to install. The system is made up of a steel mounting bracket assembly with post socket and a fi breglass post assembly with attachment eyes which are used as the anchorage point. The mounting bracket is attached via a chain and tightener which will adjust to fi t around any size of beam found in a sub-station. The fi breglass post assembly is then inserted into the socket and locked using a secure quick release pin. The complete assembly can be installed from a ladder in one or two minutes and the user can secure himself to the post before climbing from the ladder and onto the structure.

The fi breglass pole has been tested to 100kV per foot reducing potential risk when carrying through sub-stations or where there is live equipment above the user’s working height.

For the worker who uses a lot of lightweight tools, a retractable lanyard is ideal. Fixed lengthlanyards can get tangled, catch on equipment and prove to be a nuisance. The retractable lanyard works on the principle similar to that of a tape measure. The lanyard wire itself is wound around a spring-loaded spool which keeps the lanyard coiled until the user actively pulls on it. When the pulling motion is ceased the spring causes the spool to rewind and pull in the extra slack. Should a worker drop a tool connected to a retractable lanyard it can only fall as far as the lanyards’ total length. There are several different types of retractable lanyards with different mounting positions as shown below. Rated for hand tools up to 5kg.

A tool tether is attached at the end of the tool lanyard for connecting to the tool. They areas important as the tool lanyard in terms of safety.

Without the tool tether it would be impossible to secure some tools to the lanyard. A range oftethers are available and they should be chosen based on the appropriateness of their use for a specifi c tool.

Mini Omni Anchor Wire Tool TetherDeveloped to provide a secure fi xing by passing through the captive hole within the tool handle, providing a rated anchorage/fi xing point for your existing range of tools. Wire Omni is ideally suited to harsh environments, where there is exposure to heat, sharp edges or chemical contaminants. They can be fi tted with a karabiner or mallion. Perfect for wrenches, fi les, and anything else with a small captive hole. Rated for hand tools up to 5kg.

Wire Anchor Tool TetherProvides a robust fi xing method around shaped or through captive tool handles on your existing tools. Velcro Anchored TetherThis type of tool tethering system is for hand tools without a captive hole or other means of attachment, it consists of a Velcro strap which can be attached securely around the handle of the tool and attaches to a lanyard through a hook on the other end. Candidates for the Velcro anchored tether would include battery operated drills and crimping tools. Rated for hand tools up to 5kg.

Tool Tether Universal AnchorSome tools, like hammers and screwdrivers, present a specifi c tethering problem because they have no captive holes, recessed sections or shaped handles where a tether can usually be attached. For these tools we offer a sleeved tool tether which utilises the tool’s handle as the anchor point. It consists of two webbing straps with a ‘D’ ring at one end and an adhesive sleeve to keep them in place. To install, simply hold in place with one hand while slipping the sleeve over the handle with the other. Heat is then applied to the tether sleeve and the adhesive holds the straps in place and adheres to the tool handle. This is a highly adaptable system which can be used for a wide variety of hand tools, including fi xing the tether along the shaft of the tool. Suitable for use on rubber, wood, steel, aluminium or composite tool handles. Once fi tted, the encapsulated ‘D’ ring allows for direct tool attachment via a connector.

Dyneema Webbing Tool TethersThese tethers are made from high strength Dyneema webbing with a loop at both ends. Easily retrofi ts to tools providing a secure fi xing solution for tools with captive or shaped handles, a captive hole, a large handle or body or any other means by which a loop can be formed by pulling one end through the other.

The design provides a secure rated anchorage point. Dyneema is a high tech material benefi ting from very high abrasion resistance properties, combined with low stretch static strength. Rated for hand tools up to 5kg. Rating using a 2:1 safety factor.

Dyneema Triple-Lock Tool TetherProvides a versatile 10kg tool rated retrofi t low profi le tethering solution, suitable for shaped and captive tool handles, or can be used as an anchorage point suitable for retrofi tting onto hand rails etc. The Pro-Anchor Velcro fastening system provides maximum anchorage fl exibility and directional load security. The design allows the strap to be easily repositioned and, combined with the unique unidirectional geometry, provides high shear performance.

The system consists of three Velcro and Dyneema straps, which overlap each other in opposing directions increasing the tensile strength of the fastening. The webbing profi le is smaller, being only 14mm, and reduces the space taken up on the tool handle. This is especially important if the tool has a restrictive grip surface contact area, ie the limited space between the battery and trigger on a power drill.

Tool ChuckHas been uniquely developed to provide a retrofi t tethering solution for small tool items. The tool chuck overcomes diffi culty in securing small diameter tools. The design allows simple and quick self-fi tting - the shaft of the tool is located within the barrel of the chuck and held in place with a retaining grub screw. Ideal solution for small diameter items ie screwdrivers, allen keys, punches, pen torches, fi les and many more hand tools and objects. Swivelling tether point prevents lanyard twist and snagging. A choice of 7 models to suit most shank arrangements between 3 to 26mm diameters. Dynamic drop test ratings between 1kg and 3kg (model dependent).
