The curious car
There once was a curious car that wanted to see the
world. He wanted to know what was beyond the hills
and beyond the mountains.
Page | 27
He wanted to know where the road went around the
corner. And then he decided to look. The car turns
on its
engine and says, “I'm going to see what there are to
see on the other side of the hill."
He drives around the corner and what he sees is
wonderful! There are yellow flowers everywhere in
the grass. “Come play with us between the yellow
flowers!" Call the bees, but the car answers, “There is
no time for playing. I want to see the world.” And
with a huff the car drives down the road.
Beyond the hill the car can hardly believe his eyes!
In front of him lies a shining pond full of water - the
most beautiful he has ever seen! “Come play with us
in the water!”, call the ducks. “Oh no!", exclaimed
the car. “There is too much to see and too much to
discover.
I can't play now. "
The car greets the ducks and drives down the road.
He drives and he drives and at a turn he sees seven
longnecked giraffes walking slowly across the road.
They move so gracefully and so slowly that the car can
only look and stare - they are so beautiful! When the
giraffes disappear into the grass, he drives on again.
Page | 28
Around a corner and one more. He drives and he
drives, and he sees things he has never seen before!
“I wonder what's behind the last hill ..." whispered the
car when the sun starts to set. He drives slowly
forward, his heart beating excitedly. He can't wait to
see what there is to see. And can you believe it?
When the car drives over the last hill, he sees the
most beautiful, best thing he has seen all day!
He sees all his friends and they are very happy to see
him! He had been driving around in a circle and came
home.

Kitaar of ballet?
Emma hou daarvan om na haar
broer te luister. Jaco speel die kitaar. Hy is 15 jaar
oud. Hy oefen elke dag en is regtig goed. Hy speel
‘country’- musiek en
‘Rock and Roll.’
Emma wil
lesse neem sodat sy so goed soos Jaco kan speel.
