Brothers and Sisters,

I found out that the Society of Our Lady of the Most

Holy Trinity (SOLT) will not be coming this season.

SOLT is the community that Fr. Vince and the sisters

are from who come to work with the migrant workers.

Fr. Vince was unable to come this year and they had

difficulty finding another priest to come and minister

to the migrants. The superior did tell me that they do

plan to come next year.

This means that we will not be having a Mass in

Spanish on Sunday evenings. Nor will the bishop be

coming to celebrate first Communion and

Confirmation for those that need those sacraments.

I do not want to leave the people high and dry so we

will have a meeting to discuss how we can still

minister to them. As of the writing of this article the

meeting date and time has not been set. If you are

interested in coming to the meeting, listen to the

announcements or contact Dina Moyer or Sandy

Rodewald.

In Christ,

Fr. Dan

CLUSTER NEWS

Stewardship Note

The crowd in today’s Gospel demanded a sign

of Jesus and wanted to know what “work” He

did to inspire their faith. May our faithful

stewardship be a sign to others that we, like the

Ephesians in the second reading, have laid

aside our former way of life and acquired a

“fresh, spiritual way of thinking” in Christ.

ROSARY AT THE GROTTOAll are welcome to come to the grotto at St. Mary’s to pray the rosary on the 13th of each month from May through October at 7:00 p.m. Join the Daughters of Isabella to recite the rosary as Our Holy Mother requested. When she appeared to the three children of Fatima, she made this request: “I want you to return here on the thirteenth of each month for the next six months, and at the very same hour…” Bring your rosaries, lawn chairs, family and friends on August 13, September 13, and October 13 at 7:00 p.m. If raining, bring your umbrellas, but in case of stormy weather, the rosary will be recited in the church. “Say the Rosary every day, to bring peace to the world…” Our Lady of Fatima Visit www.ewtn.com/fatima for more info.

FRUITFUL HARVESTIf you have a current pledge balance for Fruitful Harvest 2016 all gifts must be received and posted no later than Sept. 1st in the Fruitful Harvest Office. WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDYCome along on a journey throughout

Scripture as we discover the relevance of the Old and New Testament wisdom to our daily challenges. We’ll explore biblical ideas for

managing life’s pace and pressure while living with calm and steadiness. All women of both parishes are invited. The sessions will be every Wednesday beginning Sept. 5th and

ending on Nov. 14th from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Center. The cost is $20 for the study guide which can be paid at the first

session. You may register no later than Aug.

15th by calling the office at 552-6753. If no answer leave your name and number.
