Clarinet and Saxophone Day, Grade/Stage 5+

Brookfield Community School, Fareham, Approx 10am - 4pm TBC

Professional saxophonist Sam Bullard and West End and freelance

multi-instrumentalist James Mainwaring will be guiding you through a day of

advanced clarinet and saxophone musicmaking with performance

workshops, masterclasses and ensemble training.

Double Reed Day, Grade/Stage 4+

Halterworth Primary School, Romsey, Approx 10am - 4pm TBC

The day will focus on oboe and bassoon ensemble playing, reed adjusting

and breathing techniques. Principal Oboe for the Bournemouth Symphony

Orchestra, Edward Kay, and freelance bassoonist Tom Hardy will be guiding

you through the workshops.

Flute Day, Grade/Stage 5+

Winchester Cathedral Edudation Centre, Approx 10am - 4pm TBC

Join us for a day of workshops and masterclasses.

Yamaha Artist, flautist Lisa Nelsen, will be guiding you through a fun day of

flute choir technique and performing skills.

Woodwind Playing Day, Grade/Stage 1+

For all those who are less experienced than the minimum re-

quirements of the previous instrument days The Mountbatten School, Romsey, Approx 10am - 4pm TBC

Special guest Martin Garrod, conductor of the Hampshire County

Youth Training Wind Ensemble, will be leading a massed ensemble made

up of young musicians from across the county. Come along for the

day and be inspired as you meet other young musicians and play new

and exciting pieces.

All instrument days feed into the final performance day...

All attendees from the four instrument

days are expected to attend Thornden Hall, Chandlers Ford, 2 - 7pm

(Final performance 6pm)

A day that will showcase and celebrate

the diversity and popularity of the

woodwind family. Culminating in a gala

concert featuring the ensemble work that

has been prepared in the previous

four instrument days.
