In his earlier years Bob was very involved with sports, playing baseball and hockey, as well as broomball and softball. Bob enjoyed his years coaching midget hockey. A lifelong Dodgers fan, Bob managed to build many vacations around trips to a MLB stadium for a ball game or two. He was a Canadiens and Riders fan as well. Bob was a member of the Kinsmen Club and worked tirelessly for numerous band festivals and other community events. His interest turned to building cars and he devoted many hours to this hobby. He always enjoyed the rod runs and the company of his fellow street rodders. True to his name, Bob was an accomplished wood worker. His career at Cushing Millwork spanned fifty years, starting work there after his last day of high school. Many changes were made over the years to the business of which he was very proud, as well as his association with AWMAC. Bob’s grandsons were a source of great pride and he was fortunate to spend lots of time with them playing, visiting, watching their sports, and on vacations. The family would like to thank the wonderfully kind staff at Extendicare for helping care for Bob over the past couple years.
