INTRODUCTION TO

COMPLEMENTARY THERAPIES

5 different therapies presented over 5 weeks:-

Kinesiology—LEAP—Brain Integration:

With Judy Wright

Applied Physiology is a most effective form of

kinesiology using specific formatting of acupres-

sure points, body points and hand modes. Gentle

but effective stress reducing techniques such as

Frontal Occipital Holding, Tibetan figure 8s,

chakra balancing, flower essences and many

others are used in this process. The Applied

Physiology LEAP protocol addresses the integra-

tion issues of learning disorders, but also life

management issues that brings peace of mind as

well as better functioning to young and old.

Counselling, Pre-and Post Natal Massage,

Infant Massage Instructor:

With Anneke Shagen

As a counsellor and massage therapist I come

across many people suffering from psychological

and physical problems. Often they stem from

unfulfilled needs in their childhood which then

are past on to their children again as well.

Learning how to massage your baby is not just

about the technique of massage. It helps you to

bond with your baby, getting to know your

baby’s cues and how to respond well to them.

Bowen Therapy– Professional Reflexology:

With Christine Gruetke

Bowen Therapy– an East-meets-West musculo-

skeletal remedial bodywork system harnessing

the power of Eastern acupoints and some of the

trigger points of Western remedial massage with

chiropractic and osteopathic intent.

Chi (life force) pressure point reflexology-boldly

go beyond the concepts of ‘treat’ and ‘foot mas-

sage’ and enter the realm of therapeutic benefit.

Bowen therapy and reflexology are avenues to

wholeness– come and find out how they can

benefit YOU.

Relaxation Massage–Rosen Method Body-

work: With Marja Koskela

Learn how Rosen Method bodywork works and

how it can benefit you. We explore the body-

mind-feelings-spirit connections, and how Rosen

Method sees it and works for finding those con-

nections within each individual. We do a little

exercise where everybody gets to try this power-

ful, gentle form of finding the Here-and-Now,

and the power of our minds over our bodies in

our everyday life.

Therapeutic Photography-Massage/Holistic

Bodywork: With Clare McClelland

“Using the art of photography and therapeutic

processes-working with you-in the exploration of

personal self-image beliefs.” It is an organic

process and may entail more that one session.

Photographs and photography are used for differ-

ent purposes-your own or other existing photos

may be used in life clarity consultations and

photo journey work. Photographic portfolios are

created in a collaborative way when working

together to produce a body of images for self-

expression-for the purpose of self-revelation, self

-synthesis, personal development– and also FUN
