BRENT WONG LEILA Ministry update POINTS OF PRAYER Latest Ministry For wisdom & discernment, faith and courage as Brent serves and provides leader- ship for the campus ministries in Orange County Pray for protection over our marriage and family against attacks from the enemy. Pray we would walk closely with the Lord. Please pray specifically for the following campuses: Long Beach State, UC River- side, and UC Irvine. Pray for hearts to be open to the Gospel, God would raise up student leaders passionate about their relationship with God We had a great trip to Colorado for our CRU National Staff Conference. Over 5,000 CRU staff from across the nation came together to hear from our leaders, and to hear from the Lord. It was a powerful time for many of our staff! Leila also took four accelerated seminary classes: Old Testament Survey, Apologetics, Biblical Interpretation and Communication. One class usually takes a semester, and she did 4 classes in one month. She worked really hard & did it! Our son Jaron participated in his first solo mission trip! He went with his youth group to minister and serve the Apache Indians. It was evident how God did some major work through him, and in him! I am so grateful for Crossroads Community Church! Micah is transitioning to middle school, while our oldest Jaron will be an 8 th grader. brent is changing positions! Brent will helping to lead a team that will be reaching out to campuses throughout Orange County. They have three minis- tries going at UC Irvine, Long Beach State, and UCRiverside. For the past few weeks, our team has been planning and preparing for the wave of students coming in! The beginning of the year is full of a lot of initiating, meeting new people, and sharing our faith. We can spend 10 hours a day meet- ing new people, so the introverts on our team have to monitor themselves closely! It is the most important time to reach out to the incoming freshman. Over 80% of church kids stop going to church once they go to college, and it is critical that we help them make that transition. Depending on the choices before them, their lives can go in any direction. Our prayer is that each student would have the opportunity to hear the gospel, and be involved in a faith community. We had a great trip to Colorado for our

CRU National Staff Conference. Over
