The South Australian Museum invites you to explore its best kept stories in an exciting new exhibition which draws from more than 4 million objects held in storage across its vast collections.

The State’s collections, cared for by the Museum, Art Gallery of South Australia, History Trust of South Australia and the State Library of South Australia, are fundamental to understanding and celebrating the history, cultures and natural history of South Australia.

This landmark exhibition will bring the stories of 165 incredible objects to life to commemorate the South Australian Museum’s 165th birthday in June 2021 – many of which have never been on public display before.

Guest curated by Nat Williams, best known for his work creating the extraordinary touring exhibition National Treasures from Australia’s Great Libraries and the subsequent Treasures Gallery at the National Library of Australia.

We invite you to join the South Australian Museum in a partnership that will meet the exclusive needs of your business, and celebrate your relationship with South Australia. At 165, we are older than many of our major international peers such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the American Museum of Natural History, the Royal Ontario Museum and many, many more. The South Australian Museum is iconic. It is a constant, having for generations been a place that offers meaningful pursuits by providing a safe, rich environment with access to culture and the natural. We very much hope the Wonders exhibition and 165 celebrations will help our community to reconnect and to support their emotional wellbeing over these incredible challenging times.

Sponsorships will: ɥ Connect your business with the profile of a nationally

significant exhibition that will support the wellbeing and vibrancy of South Australia.

ɥ Support and nurture the stories of South Australia for the next generation.

ɥ Engage with education, science, STEM and artistic endeavours for all ages.

ɥ Promote your business – according to the level of sponsorship – through client hosting privileges, behind-the-scenes experiences, crediting and acknowledgements, and access to an interested and passionate demographic through strategic marketing.

In addition, the Museum is partnering with The Advertiser and Sunday Mail to create a stunning commemorative gloss magazine celebrating 165 years of the South Australian Museum.
