them the necessary information as to how they can get help, making sure they are safe.WMW

COFFEE MORNING/DROP IN:
This has been going on for years, but this year we decided to make it even more interesting by
creating an avenue where our service users, women and girls in the community come on a weekly
basis to meet other women. They use the opportunity to make friends hereby reducing isolation,
they also share their stories to one another and encourage themselves while they enjoy their
breakfast. The service users always look forward to coming because they say it helps them to relax.
CONFIDENCE BUILDING SESSION/EVENTS:
The aim of this organisation is to support women and girls with confidence building. We have
confidence awareness session once a week, we organised confidence events this year to create
awareness on what confidence means, how they can build their confidence, we normally invite
members of the public and other organisations to attend our events and we had 4 successful events
this year. Apart from holding the events and awareness session every week, we were able to
partner with other organisations to speak on how to increase their self-confidence; we had two
partnership events with Blossom at the East Manchester Academy to help young girls and their
mothers. The events were very successful.
DOMESTIC ABUSE AWARENESS SESSIONS/TRAINING
We were able to raise awareness about what domestic abuse is, the effects and how victims can
stay safe, details of how they can get help were given to them during our sessions. Many women
and girls, especially those from the black minority ethnic group are now more confident to talk
about it and they know now where to get support too.
Aside from the awareness sessions, we also train volunteers and religious leaders, community
leaders so they know how to handle cases when victims come to them. We also use the social
media, radio shows to raise awareness.
FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION (FGM)
This is one of the new projects we started this year, we noticed so many women have gone through
FGM but are not confident enough to speak about it, we have been able to engage some women
who have experienced and we will be doing a project on it in 2017,to raise awareness about it and
to prevent it from it happening to young girls and women.
HATE CRIME AND RADEQUAL ACTIVITIES
WMW working with the police and other community organisations to raise awareness about “hate
crime” since 2015 and this year we were able to do two events on it. Creating awareness on what
hate crime is, how to prevent it and how and where to report it. The two events were good, giving

our service users the opportunity to ask questions too. We recently made an application to
Manchester city council and we will be having awareness on Radequal in the 1st quarter of 2017.
DANCE
Our dance the strength of a wonderfully made woman has been a great success since we started in
2014.This year we continued our weekly dance session, the aim is to use dance as a means to
reduce stress, reduce isolation and to help build confidence. So many of our women have made
new friends, learnt dances from different countries. They have become more confident as a result
of the dance sessions. Women who couldn’t speak now teach others dance steps and even perform
in other community events.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
This where we go out of our comfort zone to provide emotional and practical support to women
especially those who are victims of domestic abuse or those who recently lost their partners or a
loved one.
RADIO SHOW
This is one of the ways we have been able to raise awareness about what we do and how women
and girls can get help. WMW have been able to attend interviews at BBC Radio, Peace and Joy
radio, North Manchester radio etc and through this we have been able to help women in need. We
hope to start wonderfully made woman talk show in 2017.
FAITH PROJECTS:
PRAYER AND EMPOWERMENT SESSION
Though we have so many community projects, Christian activities are not left out , we have our
monthly prayer sessions, praying for those who are hurting. We also have empowerment sessions
every month to encourage the women and girls not to give up regardless of what is happening or
has happened to them. Many who came this year have moved on with their lives some have gone
back to school and work too. It’s a time where we pray for not just ourselves, families but a time to
pray for the country especially Manchester and other countries too. We also have a relationship
forum called “AFFAIRS OF THE HEART”, where adult issues are discussed, raising awareness on how
to be confident in your relationship..
RADIO SHOW
We have also used the media to pray and empower those who are in need and are hurting, helping
them to heal. We are hoping to start our talk show in the coming year.

EASTER AND CHRISTMAS OUTREACH EVENTS
This is a time where so many people feel lonely; over the years we have had, Valentine events,
Christmas and Easter parties, community outreach, giving gifts to women, young girls and their
children to make them feel loved. These events are for members of the community regardless of
their race, religion or Nationality. Though WMW is a Christian organisation we believe in
appreciating one another and the outreach has been a success.
PARTNERSHIP PROJECTS
Aside from the projects that we do, we also have other community projects with other
organisations, we believe in working together to make a positive difference in our community.
Wonderfully made woman is one of the partners of the Manchester Maya project whose aim is to
provide holistic support for BAMER women and girls in Manchester and it is a partnership of 8
organisation and it is funded by The big lottery fund.
This year though came with so many challenges; we have been able to achieve so much too. We are
hoping that 2017 will be better.

Independent Examiner's Report
To the trusees and members of Wonderfully Made Woman with Charity number 1150671..
I report on the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 December 2016, which are
set out on pages 8 to 10.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The trustees (who are also the directors of the company for the purposes of company law) are
responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The trustees consider that an audit is not required
for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent
examination is needed.
Having satisfied myself that the charity is not subject to audit under company law and is eligible for
independent examination, it is my responsibility to:
examine the financial statements under section 145 of the 2011 Act;
follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission under
section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act; and
state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
This report, including my statement, has been prepared for and only for the charity’s trustees as a
body. My work has been undertaken so that I might state to the charity’s trustees those matters I am
required to state to them in an independent examiner’s report and for no other purpose. To the
fullest extent permitted by law, I do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than the
charity and the charity’s trustees as a body for my examination work, for this report, or for the
statements I have made.
Basis of independent examiner’s report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the general directions given by the Charity
Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any
unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees
concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would
be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a
‘true and fair view’ and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.

SPORTS FOUNDATION (continued)
Independent examiner’s statement
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements:
to keep accounting records in accordance with section 386 of the Companies Act 2006;
and
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records, and comply with the
accounting requirements of section 396 of the Companies Act 2006 and with the methods
and principles of the Statement of Recommended Practice: Accounting and Reporting by
