All entry forms must be received at the
Women’s Institute Office by July 20, 2018.
The efforts of the Exhibition Committee and
many volunteers are so appreciated, as we
present the Handcrafts, Horticulture and Arts
Show Guidelines for 2018.
For so many years, the contestants have been
entering their exhibits with great passion and
vigor. I would like to encourage all of the
Island artists to continue their journey of
excellence, learning new techniques and skills
for this coming year. Many Islanders work all year round on their
aspirations in developing great art work in hooking, quilting,
knitting, painting, needlework and growing vegetables to showcase
all these at the Exhibition, and are incredibly proud of their exhibits.
The committee would like to thank all the volunteers, and appreciate
their support, effort, and time. We look forward to the participation of
all Women’s Institute Branches and public at large during the 94th
year of the WI Provincial Show. Volunteers are the backbone of
every successful event, and they are the unsung heroes.
Every year, PEIWI selects three winners for the Premier’s Craft
Education Award. Each winner receives $1,000 each, which provides
the winners an opportunity for further advancement in their field. The
prize list for every class and category is listed online for your
reference, and can be viewed on peiwi.ca.
It is strongly encouraged to read the rules carefully, and follow the
timelines and dates for submission. The committee is looking
forward to many more entries this year, and we are anticipating great
competition.
This major undertaking would also not happen without the support of
our many sponsors!
I look forward to seeing you all there,
Farida Chishti
