Project Update - Issue 30

MAY 2017

The Lismore Base Hospital Stage 3B redevelopment project is a $180 million Health

Infrastructure initiative funded by the NSW Government.

Construction on schedule

With Level 8 WCU now completed,

focus has turned to completing the

next phase of the redevelopment:

the completion of levels 9 (surgical

IPU), 10 (medical IPU), and 11

(Paediatrics).

Levels 9,10, and 11 are scheduled

for completion in August 2017, with

the three levels due to be handed

over to the NNSW LHD in one block.

The remaining two levels of E Block—

Level 6 (Theatres) and Level 7 (CSSD)

are scheduled for completion in

November 2017.

Meanwhile, enabling works in

preparation for the demolition of the

existing old A Block continue, with

several relocation of services

happening in the past few weeks,

including the Discharge Transit Unit

and Patient Transport to the old EMU

and Admissions to the old WCU.
