Wolfgang Orchestra and Chorus ~ Spring 2012
Dennis A. Noon, Conductor Nancy V. Noon, Choral Director
The Wolfgang Orchestra and Chorus, under the direction of Dennis A. Noon, were originally
organized in the summer of 2006 as “Wolfgang Classical Wind Ensemble.” In September 2008
the Wolfgang Singers were added and with the addition of 16 string players over the last two
years, the Director continues to recruit musicians to expand Wolfgang into a full Orchestra with
Chorus. The express purpose of Wolfgang Orchestra and Chorus is to rehearse and perform in a
group of equally talented adults and students.
Wolfgang schedules three concert seasons per year: Winter-Spring – Summer – Fall-
Christmas, with approximately one month off between seasons. All rehearsals are held in the
music wing of Hedges Central, 7th and Canal Streets, in Mt. Vernon, Indiana. Each Friday
between 6 and 8:30 pm you will hear the hall resounding with the sounds of Mozart,
Tchaikovsky, John Williams, Dvorak and other great composers. The summer season begins
June 22nd, 2012 and will end September 8
th with Wolfgang’s concluding Riverfront Concert at
Mt. Vernon River Days.
The directors invite new musicians to join the orchestra and chorus. If you are interested in
becoming a part of Wolfgang, please contact Dennis or Nancy Noon at 812-838-4481. For more
