Function 4Trendy design and exceptional functionality guarantee irresistible cooking experiences. Individualists among amateur cooks are wowed by the red silicon ring. The chic eye-catcher on the lid ensures that the lid sits securely on top of the pot. The inimi-table show-stoppers are, however, the four different functions for pouring. Fluid can be poured out of the closed pot according to preference. Large and small holes keep rice and noodles in the pot for example. The closed position is ideal for cooking in a way that preserves nutrients. WMF was awarded the 2010 Cooking Innovation prize for this product.

Gourmet PlusSelf-supporting and stalwart. With the classic Gourmet Plus pot range, WMF brings a Michelin-starred chef to the stove. The matt, professional standard pots are made from heavy, solid Cromargan®. The TransTherm® Universal Base distrib-utes warmth evenly through food. Stable handles and a secure lid which can quickly be put back in place guarantee the very best cooking experience.

Premium OneThe alluringly shiny Premium One has arrived. The special 5 star pot inspires with its Cool+ handle technology, developed and patented by WMF. No-one will ever again burn their fingers while cooking. Recognisable by the integrated red dots, which simultaneously function as a colourful distinguishing feature. After use these top models stack one inside the other practically into the cupboard – still they are much too elegant for this.

Steam cooking is probably the gentlest method of preparing food. The WMF Vitalis steaming system places the food on a steaming rack over boiling water. The rising steam gently envelops the food, ensuring that precious vitamins and minerals are retained. Colour, taste and smell are all surprisingly intense. This means that less seasoning is required, and little or no fat. And because steam does not transfer flavours, entire meals such as fish and vegetables can be prepared at the same time – saving time and energy. WMF VitalisCooking using the WMF Vitalis steaming system is perfect for fish, meat and vegetables. The majority of the vitamins and minerals remain in the food, and the taste and smell are wonderfully intense. The WMF Vitalis is made from high- quality Cromargan® with a TransTherm® Universal Base for perfect results. A thermometer in the glass lid shows the temperature inside the cooker, allowing precision in your cooking.


Frying with style.This is what a pan nominated as the 2011 Stiftung Warentest winner looks like. The exterior is made from gleaming, scratch-proof Cromargan® and the interior from easy-to-clean CeraDur. The newly developed and extremely heat-resistant ceramic coating is made from a pure mineral base. It has a hard-wearing, non-stick coating which is convincing in practice. The WMF CeraDur Profi tolerates

temperatures of up to 400°C and fries steaks or sausages using quite a small amount of fat. The TransTherm® Universal Base distributes heat evenly, retains it at an optimum temper-ature and is suitable for every type of cooker. CeraDur Profi is guaranteed to burn nothing.

Art ona knife edge.

The in-house WMF blade forge combines the most modern technology with traditional crafts-manship to provide masterly metalworking, made in Germany.Since the Middle Ages, excellent knives have been finished by hand. WMF retains this traditional craftsmanship and operates one of the most renowned blade forges in Germany in Hayingen in Baden-Württemberg. The Grand Class knife blades from special hardened steel are manufactured here with a forging hammer over the entire length. Afterwards they are sharpened and polished multiple times until the surface is smooth. A final quality check is carried out after every step, guaranteeing an outstandingly sharp and durable knife.

WMF has been a successful and competent innovator for over 150 years. The double- scalloped knife edge designed by WMF provides excellent results when cutting hard foodstuffs such as bread or vegetables.

Grand ClassClear lines, functional shape and discreet beauty. The first-class WMF Grand Class kitchen knives are characterised by their consistent design paired with technical metalworking. The chic black handles with traditional rivet features are manufactured without joints and are therefore completely hygienic. Their up-to-date, modern design makes them ergonomic.

A success story

A simple sphere hanging from a piece of string is responsible for WMF sales repre-sentative Martin Börner‘s brilliant flash of inspiration. This committed inventor could not let go of the idea of developing a whisk from this. He constructed the flexi whisk prototype from lots of tin solder and brass wire and presented his idea to the Product Development department at WMF. The somewhat unique whisk was well received there. WMF constructed a useable proto-type and presented the unconventional whisk to Johann Lafer. The futuristic-looking flexi whisk makes an impression with its simple yet quirky technology that is an inspiration to the Michelin-starred chef. The momentum of the small moving spheres ensures smooth consistencies at lightning speed. The intense oscillations make sauces and marinades creamy and light, even under difficult conditions. Shallow pans and edges pose no problems for the flexi whisk. Johann Lafer is not parting with it in any case.

Covetedcollector‘s items.

Twins – that is what the first salt and pepper-shakers designed by Wilhelm Wagenfeld are called. They could be found in nearly every home in the 1960s. They are now relaunched in the original 1954 design. The harmonious form and symmetry is still impressive today.

The slim waist is not just a design feature, but also makes salt and pepper spreadable while shaking. Made smaller and offered as a set with the so-called ‘little boat‘, the shakers became famous as Max & Moritz and are still widely used today.


Pioneer of industrial design

Professor Wilhelm Wagenfeld is considered a pioneer of German industrial design. His products have long since become classics. They are coveted collector‘s items and can be found in museums.For Wagenfeld, aesthetics was never an end in itself. The usability of objects and their benefit to the buyer were always the focus. The products should not only be beautiful, but also be practical and functional so that they are used often and with pleasure. In WMF Wagenfeld found the right partner for the implementation of his philosophy. The fruitful collaboration lasted for nearly 25 years. The material Cromargan® provided everything that was required for mass production and also had the best properties for use in modern households.

Whether pure, sparkling or refined with flavours such as lemon or fresh mint, water is an indispen-sable companion to an exquisite menu or a cup of coffee. With the elegant water carafes of the Basic range, the trendy elixir of life comes into its own in a particularly refreshing manner. There is a matching cooler to keep the precious liquid at the right temperature at the table.

BasicThe noble carafes by WMF impress with simple elegance and practical details. The main show stopper of the Basic water carafe is an ingenious swivel stopper which automatically opens and closes when pouring. An integrated filter ensures that ice, herbs and pieces of fruit remain in the carafe. With its slender form, the water carafe fits in any refrigerator. The water carafe is available in three sizes and in the colours blue and black. A carafe with a fixed cover is now available for aroma-proof storage.


Barista, the code for connoisseurs.


Adventurous tales surround its discovery. Wars have even been launched to allow for its distri-bution. Against all odds, the triumphal success procession of coffee has been unstoppable. Today, the “beverage of the Turks” is enjoyed all around the world. Coffee is the trend. Cappuccino & co. are part of our everyday routine and give us moments of pleasure. We have also become more demanding when it comes to the beans, preparation and enjoyment. What has been common knowledge for wine for a long time now also applies to coffee. The Barista series of cups has developed a special shape of cup which allows each coffee speciality to develop its individual flavour in the best possible way.

Three factors determine the Barista code:

Dimensions, material thickness and form. Coffee needs enough room to develop its individuality. Height and diameter provide the required internal cup volume. The optimal formation of crema depends on the size of the surface area. The thick, strong walls and base isolate the coffee and keep it warm. The small cup rim is pleasant to drink from. The shape, widening towards the top is a design characteristic and provides the coffee with enough room to develop its crema, aroma and taste.

Ingenious down to every last detail. The embossment on the saucer with the WMF logo is an unmistakable design feature. The corresponding indentation gives the cup stability.

The shape of the cutlery is based on traditional styles. The broad end of the handle gives the cutlery a striking appear-ance and is emphasised by the decorative edge. The cutlery embodies tableware as a traditional value and interprets it in a contemporary way.

Cutlery for everyday use, uncomplicated and simple. The edges have been processed carefully. The surface has a glossy finish. The timeless design is perfect for any occasion and can be combined with any other tableware.


Only WMF cutlery has this to offer.

Marked by the influence of Art nouveau and part of the WMF range since 1925, this cutlery has lost nothing of its fascination and expressiveness even today. The elaborate detail of the décor and the oxidation are remarkable.

The striking shape of this traditional cutlery developed in Classicism. Straightforward austerity consciously distances itself from the richness of shapes of Baroque. The decorative line around the edge was a popular element of style of the Augsburg silver workshops.

WMF Perfect hard silverplating

The basic material used for silverplated cutlery is Cromargan® or alpaca onto which a permanent layer of silver is applied by means of a galvanising process.

Solid silver and sterling silver

The stamp number on silver cutlery indicates the fineness of pure silver. Sterling silver with 925 parts per 1000 g has the highest grade of silver content.

Dishwasher suitability

All WMF cutlery are easy to care for and dishwasher safe according to RAL 604.

This cutlery has its origins in the Bieder-meier era at the beginning of the 19th century. A special feature is the octagonal shaped knife handle. The elaborate bolster makes high demands on manufacturing. The delicate line decoration with the leaf motif is brilliantly worked.

Cutlery of timeless beauty. The extreme thickness of the material and the flowing lines along the sides make Merit very comfortable to hold. An unusual sensitivity to detail makes this cutlery remarkable.

For some time the knife blades of all WMF silver cutlery have been equipped with the newly developed Microcut blades. This serrated edge developed by WMF is hardly visible to the naked eye and guarantees excellent long lasting blade sharpness.

Storage

The new storage canteens with silver protect® tarnish protection are available in three quality models. Please consult your retailer who will be glad to advise you.

WMF Service

Models that are no longer in the current range can be ordered. These orders are manufactured once a year. This is valid until the final date of production ceases which is made known at least one year in advance.

Wilhelm Wagenfeld is regarded as a pioneer of modern industrial design. The functionality of his products still have great appeal today. The design is timelessly modern. The original salt and pepper shakers from 1954 have been reproduced.

Good knives need to be stored carefully. They may become damaged if they are left to knock against one another in the kitchen drawer.
