Week 2 exploration: story board

Before I started the MCBS program I struggled with trying to figure out how to really tune into my craft and strengthen it in a way that could lead towards a prosperous, successful

career.

I had always thought I wanted to go into Social work or similar areas of mental heath counseling simply because that’s what I studied in my first undergraduate degree.

But then I realized that I was only doing what I was told to do instead of what I really wanted to do.

I always knew that I was a strong writer because not only was it something I received praise for in secondary school and collegiate years, but because it was something that I enjoyed doing recreationally

and therapeutically.

Because of that I decided to stop the madness and really focus on what it is that both makes me happy and comes natural to me.

Since I finally came in tune with my craft, I knew it was time to leave the mental health route and focus on what was best for me.

After much deliberation, I found the courage to enroll in Full Sail University which would offer my the necessary skill set to mold my craft while still having the ability to work a full time job.

Cause if we’re all realistic; bills do not stop just because you’re in school.

I was so glad that September came around and I enrolled in Full Sail University’s MCBS program!

To be honest, it was the best decision I could have possibly made last year and ever since I decided to pursue my passion for media; I haven’t looked back.

There were a lot of disappointments, struggles, shortcomings, lessons learned, and inconsistencies in my life in 2013, but the one constant I’ve had in my life has been Full Sail.

Enrolling in Full Sail was probably the best decision I could have made for myself.
