We now approach the end of 2016, and it is time to turn the page. While our lofty sales projections for 2016 were not met, much was accomplished in preparation for the future—a major new customer for Nudo with sales to occur as early as January; new technology at Marlite that has the opportunity to distinguish Marlite/Nudo in the market place for years to come. Verzatec has proven to be a great partner to NPI (Nudo/Marlite). They have spending commitments of over eight million dollars in plant equipment and improvements in NPI over the course of the last year! These dollars will assure that the NPI brands will be competitive for some time to come. As team members, we have a commitment to assure that we implement the programs successfully to deliver the intended results. The transition between Alfredo and myself is now complete. Alfredo will be a great leader for NPI. He has tremendous educational training and worldwide executive leadership experience. His connectivity to Verzatec team members worldwide and to the Verzatec leadership in Monterrey will allow him to effectively communicate NPI objectives and requirements, assuring that the team has the best chance of succeeding. He will also have high expectations for each of you. Let’s not disappoint!! We really appreciate the effort made by Verzatec Chairman Fernando Canales, and Verzatec CEO Francisco Senicero, along with other members of the Board and Verzatec executive team making the commitment to travel to visit us during the Christmas season and to commemorate the transition. Though travel plans were not complete due to aircraft technical difZiculties, Fernando made an excellent seasonal greeting. It is really refreshing to hear an owner to speak so sincerely in presenting the Christmas story and the reason for the season. In conclusion, I would like to thank each of you for your support over these past years. You have each been tremendous, and I have thoroughly enjoyed knowing you and working alongside you. I consider you friends for life. Thanks so much and best of luck to each of you and to you as a team! Marlite team members participated in the 23rd Annual Christmas Tree Festival at the Warther Museum, by procuring and decorating a tree. Marlite’s tree “Candy Land” was the selection
of the People’s Choice Award for the favorite large tree. Proceeds from the Christmas Festival are donated to Union Hospital to be used for patient care improvements. Congratulations Marlite team!! Additionally, Marlite collected an additional $2,089 in the last two weeks for the Share a Christmas program, making a total of $30,000 for the year. A record amount! Thanks Marlite employees, suppliers, and friends!
