SolarMarkt AG – Historic milestones

SolarMarkt AG initially starts with three different core business areas:

wholesale photovoltaics

project engineering of large-scale systems

solar mounting systems


1985 The company is founded as ARGE Solare System Technik, a spin-off from the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (FHG-ISE).

1991 Development of a photovoltaic building facade using structural glazing technology .

1997 SolarMarkt GmbH is the first sales location exclusively with solar products in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.


2000 Launch of the AluTec mounting system.

2006 SolarMarkt GmbH merges with the Aarau-based SolarMarkt from Switzerland toform SolarMarkt AG.

2007 Start of internationalization with subsidiaries opening in Italia, Spain, and the U.S. and partnerships being established in Greece, France, Bulgaria, and the Benelux countries . A new branch office is founded in Thuringia, Germany. Creotecc GmbH is spun off from the mounting systems division. SolarMarkt AG expands and establishes a


project department (SolarMarkt AG-Projekt) for the large-scale PV solar power plants division.

2009 SolarMarkt AG, together with Enfinity N.V., builds roof-mounted systems for Lidllogistic centers across Europe.Founding of the subsidiary in the Czech Republic .

2010 Internationalization continues with the founding of a subsidiary in France .

2010 SolarMarkt AG joins the Würth Solar Group.

• We are looking for a partner who finds suitable land where we can connect our pv-plants to the grid

• We intend to buy licences for the operation of pv-plants
