    WISDOMCOMPILATI

ONSTo fill a glass with clean water, you'll have to wash it first. Otherwise it will be forever contaminated and

    undrinkable.

This is a concept introduced by the ulamaks, " " . One should purify himself from any foulelements before saturating his soul with positive elements. It is impossible to be in a pure state if we

kept on doing maksiat and taat simultaneously.

However, it is not enough to just empty the soul, for the soul will not long remain empty. It must be

occupied with something. Otherwise the bad elements will fill it once again. Therefore, upon emptying

the soul, practice refilling it with iman, akhlak, good deeds & love.

Once saturated, there will be no room left for the bad elements to occupy it, insya Allah :)

"A professional is an amateur who didn't quit."

"Islam is a winning case, in the hands of unskilled lawyers."

    -Shaikh Muhammad Al-Ghazali

"Human can never avoid negative feelings, but NEVER translate it to negative behaviors or conducts." -

    Dr. Harlina #STEP2012

No one is afraid of heights, they are afraid of the fall. No one is afraid of the dark, they are afraid of

    whats in it.

Professionalism: doing the right thing when nobody is watching you. (Surah At-Taubah, verse 105)

    #STEP2012"Patient = Person + Disease

I spend 6-7 years learning to doctor a disease, but how long do I learn to doctor a person?"

"A doctor is an instrument of God's mercy."

if you deliberately plan on being less than what you capable of being, then,i warn you!

you'll be unhappy for the rest of your life (abraham maslow)

Talking about REGULATING HUMAN BEHAVIOURS - what I observed recently: In UK, the drivers were

careful not to exceed speed limit or evento eat while driving! In Prague, drivers were regulated ONLY by

the line colours - blue parking line by the roadside is STRICTLY meant for residents of the block ONLY,

visitors - go find a white parking line! In Egypt - traffic lights were mainly blinking yellow, since nobodyfollowed the red & green codes! Believe it or not, the so-called HIGHWAY connecting Cairo to Tanta &

Mansourah was full with SPEED BUMPERS! I had never imagined that! What to do, only the `sleeping

policeman' seems to be able to REGULATE the Egyptians' driving speed. How they wished, they cud

simply fly over them, eh! Malaysian drivers - wonder what cud really regulate them???

Some men go fishing all their lives without realizing that it is not fish they are after. As peaceful warriors, we keep our head in the clouds but our feet on the ground. We live with apeaceful heart and a warrior spirit.

We are continually faced with a series of great opportunities

    brilliantly disguised as insoluble problems.

John W. Gardner, American politician, former Secretary of

    Health, Education, and Welfare (19122002)

A wise man, Theodore Roosevelt, once said, In

any moment of decision the best thing you can

do is the right thing, the next best thing is the

wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is

    nothing.

Regret for the things you did can be tempered by time; it is

regret for the things you did not do that is inconsolable.Sidney J. Harris

"Nourishment of the soul is in concepts and meanings, and not in food and drink."

If you only read the books that everyone else is reading, you can only think what everyone elseis thinking.

keys are played together to give sweet music... ..."

Islam is a total system of living

Syed Qutb said: Indeed our words will remain lifeless, until we die in pursuit of those words, then those

same words will be brought to life and live amongst the people, inspiring them and bringing their hearts

    to life.

For an ancient Egyptian official it was a boat on water. For an aspiring Nigerian pupil four thousandyears later it is a touch of light in a deep dark well. For most of us it will forever be the voice ofcivilization itself . . . Reading.

We perceive little black marks on white paper or a PC screen and they move us to tears, open upour lives to new insights and understandings, inspire us, organize our existences and connect uswith all creation.

Writing is a skill, reading a faculty. Writing is expression, reading impression. Writing is public, reading personal. Writing is limited, reading open-ended. Writing freezes the moment. Reading isforever.

And so writing was born, at first blush the human voice turned to stone.
