children under six (USDA)

• High rates of food insecurity in Wisconsin:• 11.2 percent of all households (USDA)

Negative Consequences of Food Insecurity

• 30.4 percent of low-income preschool children are overweight or obese (CDC)

• 12.1 percent of children aged 2-5 years are obese (CDC 2013)

• 14 percent of children aged 2-5 years in Wisconsin are obese (CDC 2013)
