Early Childhood

Suzuki Violin

ages 4-7

The Suzuki Method is based on the

principle that all children possess

ability that can be developed and

enhanced through a nurturing envi-

ronment. All children learn to speak

with relative ease and if the same natural learning

process is applied in teaching other skills, these can

be acquired as successfully. Suzuki referred to the

process as the Mother Tongue Method and to the

whole system of pedagogy as Talent Education.

This Suzuki group course will engage your child in the

fundamentals of violin or cello playing while covering

musical concepts such as rhythm, ensemble playing,

dynamics, tempo, and pitch with an emphasis on lis-

tening, repetition, and imitation. Daily practice re-

quired. Students must provide own instrument.

Rentals are available at West Valley Music.

Tuition: $275 (materials included)
