If you are interested in government, politics, leadership, attendance at a military academy, college R.O.T.C., or just a challenging

academic program, this is the experience for you. Maryland Boys State is a weeklong practical exercise in government that will

have a positive influence on your life.

Dates of the program: June 18-24, 2017 at McDaniel College, Westminster, MD

Tuition is Free. A local American Legion Post will sponsor your application.

Drama Boosters News

Our spring musical " The Little Mermaid " was a HUGE success! The cast and crew worked countless hours to bring us the best

show yet. The amount of talent at Winters Mill High School is astounding! We will miss our graduating seniors so much! We

wish you all the best in the future!

Thank you so much to the parents that offered their time, talent, and generous donations! We would like to

thank the school community for your support with our fundraisers and our shows. A special thanks to Giant

Foods for providing the cast/crew meal during our busy show times. Lastly, a very special thanks to the

Antrobus family for all the time they spent helping, teaching, and showing our kids the benefits of working together. We will miss

you!

The Drama banquet (for students only) will be held on Saturday, May 20th from 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on the stage at W.M.H.S.

There will be a Mardi Gras theme, dinner will be served, and senior scholarships will be awarded.

Grading Information

Quarter 4 end-of-year report cards will be mailed on or before: Friday, June 23, 2017.

Graduation - Class of 2017

The graduation date for the Winters Mill Class of 2017 will be:

Friday, June 9 at 7:00 p.m. at McDaniel College.

In order for a senior to be eligible to participate in graduation exercises, they must

complete the Maryland State Graduation Requirements by the end of the fourth

marking period of their senior year. Seniors who are required to attend summer

school after the date of graduation to make-up or meet requirements will not be

able to participate in graduation exercises until the following year. Check with

your senior to be certain the requirements have been or are scheduled to be met

and that course work is being completed satisfactorily.

HOME ACCESS CENTER

Home Access Center is Carroll County Public Schools’ parent portal. It allows parents,

guardians and students to log in and view information pertaining to the student. The

Home Access Center is provided for the express use of the parents of Carroll County

Public School District students to assist in the communication of important educational

information. The goal of the Home Access Center is to assist you in effectively

communicating with the teachers, staff, and administration about your student.

Music – Instrumental Music

Join us for our Spring Concerts! May 23 (Percussion Ensembles, Concert

Band, Wind Ensemble) and May 24 (Orchestra and Jazz Ensemble) 7:00 p.m.

Admission $3 adults, $2 senior citizens, $1 students.

Seniors – If you want to be included in the senior PowerPoint, please make

sure you have emailed a senior picture to Ms. Gottleib.

Join us for the music banquet June 1 at 7:00 p.m.! Awards Ceremony in the

auditorium, reception to follow afterward. An R.S.V.P. is appreciated. No

cost. Donations to help with the cost of the reception are welcome.

Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, and selected percussionists – please remember

we have a performance at graduation on June 9. Plan to be involved

approximately 5:45-9:30 p.m. Details will be coming at the end of the month.
