Ever since Sex and the Cityarrived on our screens tenyears ago and highlightedthe “Brazilian”, where hot wax

is used to rip off every last hair in thebikini area, bar a little strip, we have beenconditioned to believe that no matter howexcruciating the pain, no self respectingfashionably groomed woman could gowithout it.

Hair removal was something we only had on special occasions. Now it is a de rigueur part of our everyday life.
