• At Target a Handheld is a PDA or LPDA– PDA: This is a typical handheld and is used

most often– LPDA (Leader PDA): These are reserved for

leaders because they have more functions than the standard PDA. Try to avoid taking an LPDA, disgruntled Team Leaders regularly send search parties for them

• PDA’s are kept in the Equipment Room in the TMSC (Team Member Service Center)

– Ask the customer service person or the leader you speak to how to acquire one

– PDA’s are a hot commodity, and the Flow Team and Backroom Team frequently take and hide them in the morning. If the equipment room is empty, a Team Leader can always attain a PDA with a quick request over the walkie

• We are only authorized to use five applications, but they are the most useful ones. These applications should enable us to complete most tasks.

– NOTE: The easiest way to access an application is by typing the acronym (All Caps below) of the app at the home screen > [ENTER]

1. Location (LOC): Scan items on the sales floor to see if they have a backroom location

2. Subtract Pulls (SUBT): The process of moving a product from back stock to the sales floor is called a “pull.” To maintain inventory accuracy, this application MUST be used to subtract the amount pulled from the backroom when moving product to the sales floor

3. Not On Planogram (NOP): Check the status of an item or display for that particular store. Use this to determine if a SKU is authorized.

4. Planogram Fill (POG): Use this to fill an entire display

5. UPCS: Shows general item information and if it is on TPC
