CONDITIONS OF SALE FOR BUYERS

1.Thehighestbiddershallbethepurchaser,subjecttotheauctioneerhaving the right to refuse the bid of any person. Should any disputeariseastothebiddingsthelotindisputewillbeimmediatelyputupforsaleagainattheprecedingbidding,ortheauctioneermaydeclarethepurchaser,whichdeclarationshallbeconclusive.

2.Nopersonshalladvancelessatabidthanthesumnominatedbytheauctioneerandnobidmayberetracted.

3.Alllotsaresoldsubjecttotherightofthesellerorhisagenttobidorelsetoimposeareserve.

4.Thepurchasershallcompleteabiddingcardbeforethesalegivingnameandaddress. Immediatelyafter thesale thepurchasershallpay10%of thepurchaseprice inpartpaymentandshallpay thebalancewithintendaysofthedateofthesaleunlesspriorcreditarrangementshavebeenmade.

10.NopersonpurchasinganyitemwhichfallswithintheprovisionsoftheAntiquitiesAct1975ortheArmsAct1958shallbeentitledtotakepossessionof the itemunlessanduntilsuchpersonhasproduced toWebb’salicenseundertheappropriateAct.

11.IfapurchaserfailseithertopayforortakeawayanylotWebb’sshallwithout further notice to the purchaser, at its absolute discretion andwithoutprejudicetoanyotherrightsorremediesitmayhave,beentitledtoexerciseoneormoreofthefollowingrightsorremedies:(a)Toissueproceedingsagainstthepurchaserfordamagesforbreachofcontract(b)Torescindthesaleofthatoranyotherlotsoldtothepurchaseratthesameoranyotherauction.(c) To resell the lot bypublic or private sale.Anydeficiency resultingfrom such resale, after giving credit to the purchaser for any partpayment,togetherwithallcostsincurredinconnectionwiththelotshallbe paid to Webb’s by the purchaser. The area around Austria’s Neusiedler See has long produced some of Europe’s greatest sweet wines. But in 1985, a ring of unscrupulous producers were caught doctoring their wines—and the scandal wiped out that noble tradition in a heartbeat.A savior was needed desperately, and six years later he appeared under the name Alois Kracher. In just one vintage, 1991, Kracher restored Austria to the pantheon of great dessert wine producers; and he single-handedly kept it there for nearly two decades. But on December 5, 2007, Kracher died at age 48, leaving his son Gerhard to carry on his important work.We offer a full set of nine classic Kracher wines (Magnums), each of which is a profound reflection of this great man’s genius.
