INSPIRATION 2019 MOVEMENTThere has been a seismic shift in the world of fashion and beauty. Gone are the days when trends were dictated by big houses in Paris and New York.
Beauty and Fashion movements are no longer seasonal, they don’t come with an expiration date. They are dictated communalities posted and seen on social media and labeled by trending hashtags. They can live for a week or many years, who knows.
At Wella we believe that the uniqueness of each individual is celebrated, and that cookie cutter trends can’t exist in a world of individuals. Sometimes you need to change yourself to become more you!
People have changed. They want to discover, remix and find what fits. It’s driven by individuality.
Your focus is realising the individuality of each client. The level of transformation is key when creating a vision with which your clients can bring out their true selves. That should be your focus while creating your entry look: to highlight each and everyone’s individual beauty.
We at Wella are celebrating the diversity of beauty. Trend are no longer about looking to experts, designers and fashion houses. They are about connecting with people, igniting conversations and sharing opinions.
MOOD BOARD
“RED MAKES ME FEEL MORE POWERFUL AND CONFIDENT.”

COLOUR PALETTE
Finding renewed freshness in the beginning of the year as we are approaching the lighter, brighter months is an exploration of the different expressions of sophistication and authenticity. Imagining taking a snapshot of yourself and adding a vintage filter to create that beautiful powdery look - something we all know and love when we are creating our Social media posts.
A modern colour palette with a vintage feel where colours are not only defined by their shade, saturation but also by their finish. Where the focus is on dusty, muddy, lived-in hair colour looks that are gaining momentum as we speak.
Colours become more refined and subtle yet never lose their uniqueness or lack character. We see a lot of on vintage pastels, blonds, but even on muted reds and rich brunettes who are appealing soft and gentle by their powdery filter.
There is quirky elegance and a sense of joyful fun to be expressed through tones targeting younger consumers,
like the pink-blonde hues of Vintage Blush and the bolder, more daring tones of Tonight Dusk.
And red heads are more natural looking with a Vintage Leather finish. Smokey Greys and Muddy Blondes exude relaxed refinement, while for mid-tone and darker shade directions Washed Wood Tones intensifies with a richer, deeper hit of brunette.
