The Service His Loving Journey

Psalm 23“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:

He leadeth me beside the still waters.He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths

of righteousness for His name’s sake.Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:

for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil;

my cup runneth over.Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me

all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.”

Tribute of LoveJoseph “Ben” Wilson was born on a bright and blessed of September 18, 1946 in Bolton, Mississippi to Katy Wilson and Ben Allen Mills.

With the blessing of being raised in a loving, Christian home, Joseph accepted Christ at an early age at Orange Hill Baptist Church in Bolton, Mississippi. He continued his faith and love for God throughout his life.

Joseph was an active member of the community; a true people person. He was an active member of the Masonic Family. He served in several offices over the years in Flaming Sword Lodge # 101 F. & A.M Jurisdiction of Mississippi. His last office held was that of the Senior Warden. Bro. Wilson was also a member of the Elnora D. McGowan CT. #1 Heroines of Jericho, Past Patron of Amaranth #59 O.E.S., Rissah Temple #130 A.E.A.O.N.M.S and a 33rd degree Mason in Jackson Consistory #117.

He was employed with Gaddis Farm and he proudly owned and operated T’s Barbeque. He was an avid volunteer at the Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner in Edwards, Mississippi, something he really looked forward to every year.

On December 31, 2012, Joseph peacefully departed this life. He was preceded in death by his mother, Katy Wilson; his father, Ben Mills; stepmother, Freddie Mills; grandparents, Johnny and Julia Wilson; brothers, Leroy Williams and Monroe Johnson; and sisters, Betty Johnson and Annette Mills.

Joseph leaves to mourn his passing, yet cherish his loving memories a devoted and loving wife, Fannie Wilson; five daughters, Debra Wilson, Renta Wilson, Barbara Thompson, all of Edwards, Mississippi, LaShandra McClure (Lonza) of Utica Missippi and Verlonda Neil (Michael) of Clinton, Mississippi; three sons, Prince Mitchell, Patrick Wilson and Eric Wilson (Angela), all of Edwards, Mississippi; five sisters, Zenobia, Jacque and Leslie Mills of Chicago, Illinois, Irma Tucker (Willie) of Jackson Mississippi and Masie Mc Graw of Bolton, Mississippi; five brothers, W.M Kelly (Ailean) of Bolton, Mississippi, Robert Nichols of Clinton Mississippi, Ben Jr. (Nadine), Anthony (Gail) and Charles Mills, all of Chicago, Illinois; sisters-in-law, Arlene (Frank), Johnnie B.
