All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players:They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts,As You Like It, Act II, Scene VII ~William Shakespeare- 1564-1616

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) was the result of experimentation, improvisation, and collaboration by its three origina-tors, Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield. In the beginning Long, Singer, and Winfield wrote and performed a twenty-minute long version of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Two years later, they added an abridged version of Romeo and Juliet. When the three men wanted to perform at the Edin-burgh Fringe Festival in 1987, they discovered that they needed a mini-mum of sixty minutes. They decided to do an abridged Complete Works. They kicked off their show at the Paramount Ranch in Agoura, California on June 19, 1987. Their play soon rose to high renown. It ran for a re-cord-breaking nine years at the Criterion Theatre in London and has been performed in many different languages. However, this is the first time it will be performed at Bishop Chatard High School by 23 actors! #BARDatCHATARD. When looking at various titles for the fall play, I came across a student version of TCWOWSA where the director utilized different actors for each scene and I loved the idea. Not only did it allow for many students to be involved but also, it challenged them by making (often intimidating) Shakespeare accessible. This has been a season of changes for the department as a new di-rector and theatre teacher are “treading the boards”. Change can be exciting but also difficult as everyone involved attempts to learn new “choreography and blocking”. I am so grateful for the support and trust that I have re-ceived-especially from this wonderful group of students who worked with me to create this show. I think you will find that their talent, trust, time, and tenacity have paid off. I leave you with the prayer we shared at the end of every rehearsal:

Always remember that the talents you have are a gift from God and the way you use those talents are your gift back to God. Remember that Theatre is Magic; and Magic is the Theatre and BLESSED are we who create that Magic!

MEET THE COMPANY

Addison Meloy Addi is a junior who loves her cat, Clark, and her mom and dad. She will protest too much about this biography, but the play is the thing.Agnes MoriartyAgnes is a freshmen who attended St. Luke. She would like to thank her amazing parents for continuing to taxi her to theatre. Her favorite Shake-speare quote is "Out, damn'd spot! out, I say!" from MacBeth because of her love cleaning.Aidan TodAidan, a freshman and St. Luke School alum, is really happy his Mom, Dad, and Stepdad encouraged him to attend Bishop Chatard High School...for Aidan, it feels like a second home. Although he is new to theatre, Aidan en-joys the technical aspects of putting on a production...especially Sound De-sign. His family would tell you that he is a devoted son and brother (to his two older sisters and his dog Leo), much like the Shakespearean character, Edmund. He is grateful TO BE (and not to be!) a part of BCHS theatre and thanks Ms. Holly and Mr. Cockrum for their support!Alex DudaAlex is a sophomore. He loves being behind the scenes and being a techie guy. His favorite part of the musical is the music. He would like to thank his family for hauling him to practices and his middle school teacher, Mr. Bourke for getting him interested in theatre.Andrew FillenwarthAndrew is a Junior and is in his third year working with the Lights crew. He's thankful that his older sister (now at BSU) introduced him to theatre. If Andrew were to be a character in Shakespeare then he'd have to be 'Falstaff'. In addition to being a hard worker, Andrew's an easy going guy who is gen-uinely entertained by his own jokes. Anna ErdosyAnna is a freshman making her Bishop Chatard theatre debut. Her irreverent younger sister thinks it a tragedy to endure yet another of Anna's perfor-mances; however, her parents shamelessly love the idea. Proud of her they would be.Anthony CatesKnown for his scene stealing antics and often called the best actor on stage, Anthony is working crew for the first time and he's not bitter about it. An-thony began his BCHS theater career while still an 8th grader at St Pius when they needed a better-looking George Clooney-type for the 2018 New Play Festival. Anthony would like to thank his parents for the great genes, and his brother for setting the bar so low. Every fourth word.Blake O’TainBlake is a sophomore who learned at St Matthew that he liked plays and

This year, we decided to let our parents have some fun by writing our biogra-phies. Filled with some totally (not) funny dad jokes, here's what they said:

MEET THE COMPANYmusic. He is most like Falstaff in that he loves to laugh. Blake loves to cook and his sister and parents are great at eating!Caleb CroddyCaleb Croddy went to Lumen Christi until 6 grade & then transferred to Christ the King where he graduated. At Christ the King Catholic Grade School he was given a lead role in the musical Fiddler on the Roof & fell in love with theater. He has 7 siblings, 5 are either at Chatard or have gradu-ated. Two of his brothers are full time US Army but Caleb is seriously con-sidering the new Space Force after high school & college. He loves theater & likes to use his talents to make others laugh. If he could be any character it would be Jack Jack from the Disney movie Incredibles!Cameron StevensonCameron Stevenson is a sophomore who previously attended St Thomas Aquinas. She like LOVE to thank her amazing parents for their 24 hour shuttle services to and from the school. She loves song and dance and if given the chance she would be a performer on the rap game.Christine MillmanNo stranger to the stage, Christine Millman transitioned from competitive dance to acting during her freshman year at Bishop Chatard. If it weren't for her terrifically supportive and encouraging parents, Christine might not have discovered her inner thespian, but once she gave theatre a try, she was hooked. Christine has enjoyed being in the cast of BCHS Theatre produc-tions for the last four years. When not playing a witch in MacBeth, she can be found volunteering with the Trojan Tots who think "Miss Christine" is anything but witchy.Christopher BoardFreshman Christopher Board is taking time in his first BCHS production to check out the behind-the-scenes action after being a bit of a Falstaff as Captain Hook’s right arm guy Smee last fall in his fourth production with St. Simon. In addition to his knack for the stage, his personal garage band includes a bass, piano, trumpet, and acoustic guitar. He is blessed to be loved and provided for by two of the proudest nobles around and is beyond grateful for their unending patience. Special thanks go to his big sister and her “con-nections” in the BCHS realm!Christopher TaylorTopher’s acting career started small when he played a munchkin in the Wiz-ard of Oz at St. Simon, but he’s now living large as a theatre-loving thespian his junior year. No role is too small, as evidenced by his unforgettable perfor-mance as “man with ax” in The Pink Panther. When he’s not haunting your dreams on stage, you can find Topher banging on the drums, working on his never ending Eagle Scout project, or “just dance”-ing with the Lit Choir Boys.Claire BoonClaire Boon is a sophomore and she previously attended Saint Simon. This is her first year doing a play at Bishop Chatard however she played a critical

MEET THE COMPANYrole as the clock for Cinderella in seventh grade. She's most excited to miss class during tech week. And she would especially like to thank her amazing mother for all of her accomplishments in her life. The Shakespeare character she's most like is, Prospero because she's secretly a wizard.Danielle HarrTo thine own crew be true. And that crew hath been the front of house for Senior Danielle Harr. In her spare time, she likes to toil and trouble in the kitchen cauldron while brewing up a wicked mug dessert. While words are easy like the wind, she is most grateful for the faithful friends that are oft hard to find as this is what she has found by working with her Chatard friends in crew. Darren RichardsonDarren has been involved in theater for two years. With his great sense of humor, and desire to be involved he is a great addition to the crew.Deirdre HostettlerDeirdre is a hard-working, late-night studying sophomore who enjoys being involved in BCHS sports, music and theater while braving her early years with 4 siblings and 1 sheepadoodle. The Bard would be pleased by her im-pressive use of the English language (her parents certainly are proud)!Evan Pengxu LiEvan, a junior, comes to Chatard from Dalian, China. Because his home is in northeastern China, known for its snowy winters, he goes by the name of “Snowdog” in his American family. He loves gaming and will, no doubt, become the Falstaff of his circle of friends.Elise EcksteinElise is a junior who traveled far from Christ the King to attend Chatard. She would like to thank her mother and father for asking her far too many ques-tions, therefore forcing her to find activities to keep her away from home. Elise's approach to her role in the play was inspired by the terrasse or balco-ny from Romeo and Juliet. She plays a supporting role that is important, yet not the focal point of the scene. Like the terrasse, Elise is strong, trustworthy and offers support to the rest of the cast and crew. Grace DillonGrace began her artistic journey at age one, concentrating on mixed media, such as macaroni and cheese on a cat. At St Luke she found more routine ex-pression through drawing, painting and music. When not creating art, Grace can be found swimming, camping or playing one of many instruments; violin, flute, or graphing calculator.Grace TimpeGrace is a senior who attended St. Thomas Aquinas. As clever and witty as Shakespeare's Portia, Grace would like to thank her family for being a cap-tive audience. Her favorite part of any show is when she is on stage. If Grace could be any pop culture icon it would be her.Grayson CatesAfter seeing someone who looks like Danny DeVito walk into Taco Bell,

MEET THE COMPANYGrayson knew acting was his future. Cast in this production because he is a senior, he is best known for his Santa (because he owned the suit) and his onstage deaths. After graduation, Grayson plans to travel to Nova Scotia to join the Lagina brothers to search for treasure. He would like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Redelman, Katelyn Redelman, Grace Redelman and all the bald staff members of BCHS. #dubhashGreta CornsGreta is a freshman who previously attended St. Simon the Apostle. To quote Hamlet Act III, Scene III, Line 87, "No."Hannah IsmailHannah appeared at BCHS 3 years ago as an Alien from Fall Creek Valley Middle School. Going from a BearCat to a BCHS Trojan has been a won-derful experience made most special by her theater mates. Thank You! Her future plans will find her living in Denmark, happily ever after... Of Course!Hayden RedelmanLike Mark Antony who so famously said, "Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears..", Hayden loves to opine on politics, religion, and every-thing BCHS theatre! A senior, who previously attended Christ the King, Hayden has been involved with the Publicity and Advertising Crew through-out his time at Chatard. He has also worked with the Sound Crew, acted in a Senior-directed One Acts his freshman year, and will be directing in the same later this year. Devoted like Henry V and McDuff, Hayden would like to thank his sisters Katelyn and Grace for all of their love and support, especially on school mornings.Henry GramlingHenry got his dad on the board of the heart of America Shakespeare Festi-val by reciting the St. Crispin speech from Henry V at the age of four. He is sometimes a Caliban without his coffee, but more often, he is Puck, the clev-er fun-loving trickster. His favorite role at BCHS was as the villain in Pink Panther. He has recently found a new love of photography. He would like to thank his dad for giving him his study habits, and his mom for passing on her ability to deliver a punchline. He plans to attend the University of Dallas next year and Major in literature.Isla HofmannAll the world’s a stage …. and Isla has always been an eager player upon it. A senior, this will be her seventh turn on the Bishop Chatard main-stage in addition to appearances in several senior one-acts. Growing up with five brothers has prepared her well for the rough-and-tumble role of Tybalt in the fall production. Isla would like to thank her family for their steadfast love, support, and encouragement. “This above all: to thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man.” - PoloniusIzzy SurinakIzzy is a junior at BCHS and a proud St. Joan of Arc alum. Mom and Dad are excited to see how she puts her engineering and architect aspirations into

Her brother is excited she is putting her big sister busi-ness to use as an assistant head leaving less time to boss him around, although her youngest sister wishes she was in a Disney Princess show, and her other sister doesn't even realize Izzy does anything other than soccer.Jack DixonJack is a Freshman here at Bishop Chatard (in case you couldn’t tell). He attended IHM and is thrilled to be part of his first Bishop Chatard Theater production. He would like to thank all the upperclassman for being so kind, and his parents for picking him up from rehearsals (even though they are usually late). If Jack could do anything, he would be President of the United States because he is absolutely, without question, the smartest person in the world…To that end, he likes the Shakespeare quote “Lord, what fools these mortals be!” (Midsummer Night’s Dream)Jack McGowanJack McGowan, a junior, quotes Macbeth almost every day-his favorite line: “I bear a charmed life.” His parents agree and remind him of this daily.Jackie BeckmanJackie who is a Senior is a combination of two of Shakespeare‘s characters. She is like Cordelia who is a devoted daughter and Juliet’s nurse who is de-pendable. This is her 3rd year of doing Crew with many of her really good friends. She has been on stage before in 4 productions with St Simon The-atre. She will be on stage again because she does enjoy that role too. With every production, she has made new friends! She would like to thank her family and friends for all of their support this year!Jacqueline FeltsJacqui is a graduate of St Simon and a proud winner of a Little Debby snack cake. Jac has amazing parents that she loves very much. Jacqui is best known for funny tweets that usually reference Parks and Recreation.James HaasJames has been a Pink Panther, an assassin, a boy, and a reporter and now he has a name (Henry VI) besides Slippy. James has never met a pun he didn’t like even though he often has trouble pronouncing some of the words. A proud St. Matthew grad and Creative Kid alum, James is thrilled to be a part of the production.Jillian HurleyJillian is a senior. She is a parishioner at St. Simon where she enjoys singing at Mass. She has loved theater since she saw Annie at a second grade birth-day party. Jillian is easily compared to Shakespeare's characters Portia and Celia. Jillian is looking forward to the next chapter in her life. She hopes theater and singing will be part of her college experience. Julia HorlanderJulia is a sophomore who previously attended St. Luke. She enjoys gar-dening, especially the tedious task of pulling up weeds around the tomatoes. *whisper* You're doing such a good job!Kali McMillian

MEET THE COMPANYKali is a sophomore and alumni from St. Lawrence. She can't thank her fam-ily enough for encouraging her interests, sharing her amazing talents as well as surviving her teenage hormones and mood swings. While she will always be her parents little Ariel, her brother may feel she's more of a Lady Mac-Beth! She loves being involved in the show and contributing to it's success. Katherine BoardSenior Katherine Board has been the Rosalind of her high school experience both behind the scenes in theater and behind the pack in BCXC for four years. Her contagious smile and devoted heart have blessed friends, fami-ly and teachers as she has learned the ropes in all things backstage. She is well-loved by her noble parents and adored by her younger brother. Most importantly, Katherine is grateful that God continues to lead her on His path and hopes that path includes future trips to El Salvador and college. Special thanks go to her fellow seniors who keep her on both the running paths and road to fun! Lily HofmeisterLily Hofmeister is a Senior and hails from St. Matthew Grade School. She has fancied taking part in Theatre whilst being educated at the esteemed school of Bishop Chatard. Wast there a favorite production for this lass? Twas Pride and Prejudice; for Lily doth enjoy Jane Austen. She will oft enjoy the auspicious memories of Theatre, as well as the many freindships that came to be whilst attending. Cheers to the Future!!!!Logan McCurdy Mark my words, Logan previously attended St. Luke and it was a foregone conclusion that he would attend BCHS, since his brother hath gone there before him. BCHS was the be all and end all for Logan, now a senior. And as luck would have it, Logan had greatness thrust upon him with his blessed family support. Hence, he became a member of the Front of House Crew and now the world is his oyster. Lottie OgorekCharlotte "Lottie" Ogorek was born in Pittsburgh and soon realized that one city couldn't contain her awesomeness; so she added Indianapolis to the list of places she'll (eventually) call home. Lottie spent 9 years at St. Pius and is wrapping up grade 12 here at BCHS. She often struggles to decide which of her parents is most spectacular; to mask her confusion she lavishes attention on her dog, Phyllis. We'd say more but we don't want to be bard from future shows.Lucy KellisonLucy is a senior from St. Pius X. She first scratched the performance itch in her second grade talent show when her act was telling jokes while walking on stilts. She will forever cherish the friendships and memories she has made in the theatre. Lucy is beyond proud of her outstanding performance in Act 2 of tonight's show!Lydia KernLydia's love for the theater comes from her mother who played Bass in the

MEET THE COMPANYorchestra pit for many a show. She feels that behind the scenes contributions to a show make for a great production. She would like to thank her parents Daniel and Valerie and her faithful dog companion Parker for their ongoing love and support.Maci KnollMaci was born during a tornado and has been making messes everywhere she has gone since then. As an avid horseback rider frailty is definitely not her name and though she be little, she be fierce. She attacks life and en-joys spending time working on what feels like 100 art projects at a time and spending time with her friends and family. Above all, to her own self she has always been true. Maci is a freshman hailing from St. Pius X where she was on the make up crew for The Wizard of Oz.Madeline FeltsMaddi is a graduate of St. Simon where she was a proud recipient of a Lit-tle Debbie snack cake. Maddi's most recent accomplishment was listening to Harry Style's new release more than anyone thought humanly possible. Maddi is blessed with extraordinary parents and a great brother and sisters who love her very much. Maggie CornsMaggie is a senior who previously attended St. Simon the Apostle. A satirist at heart, the Shakespeare quotes that best embodies her outlook on life are "I would challenge you to a battle of wits, but I see you are unarmed!" and "I do desire we may be better strangers". Maggie can't thanketh h'r family enow f'r all of the loveth and supp'rt those gents giveth to h'r. Maggie TimpeMaggie is a sophomore who previously attended St. Thomas Aquinas. She would like to thank her parents for teaching her how to bake. Her creativity is a perfect fit for the Props Crew. If Maggie could be any pop culture icon, she would be Yolanda Gampp.Mary HorlanderMary is a senior who previously attended St. Luke. Mary loves animals, especially the family pet, Scout (affectionately known as "Dog") and thanks her for all her support in getting ready for the show. Even though she is al-ways right about everything, Mary is a humble young woman who is looking forward to pursuing her future career as a mad scientist.Mason FellwockMason is a kid that really lights up a room, he has a light heart, a million watt smile and a bright future! Michael YurkMichael Yurk is a sophomore from Christ the King. This is his first experi-ence working crew. When he’s not on crew, he’s playing boys volleyball. His other talents include reaching items on high shelves.Molly LockremYou are a truepenny and straight-fingered Bellibone, Ms Molly. The jammi-est bit of jam. We love you!!

MEET THE COMPANYMolly SpychalskiMolly is a junior who hails from CKS. She loves to be in the spotlight. That is why she has always been in the paint crew. Her favorite part of the play is hanging with her friends.Natalie PriserNatalie is a sophomore working on her third BCHS theater production. She previously attended Christ the King where she starred as Sister Number 4 in the 7th grade rendition of Fiddler on the Roof. Natalie's favorite part of theater is organizing and making lists of all of the items in the props cage. If chosen to perform a part in this play, she'd be the best Ariel you've ever seen. She would like to thank her parents, annoying little brothers, and good friends for the support and encouragement needed to perform at the highest level behind the stage.Nick PettroneOh how to describe Nick? He’s a smart kid but he’s not a great commu-nicator- lights don’t require words, so it’s perfect for this Christ the King graduate! As a freshman, Nick is learning that it is not cool to hang with his awesome parents, BUT he knows they feed him so he keeps coming back for more! This is his first year in theater so we hope he develops great friend-ships and lots of memories in the next few years! Owen SchultzOwen is a Junior who attended Christ the King for grade school. He would like to thank his siblings for showing him how fun theatre could be. My fa-vorite part of the show is the humor. If Owen could be any pop culture icon it would have to be John Ratzenberger.Paige PriamiPaige is a Junior who previously attended St. Simon. Even though she has the voice of an angel she enjoys the busy behind the scenes work of crew where she can be creative. She owes all the credit for her talents to her dad who is also multi talented. Paige's spirit animal is a cat.Patrick FeltsPatrick is a graduate of St. Simon School, the home of pizza in a can. Patrick is blessed with an incredible family. He especially loves all the support and opinions he gets from his four sisters... in particular his twin sister's "encour-agement" on what he is supposed to do. Patrick, also known as "Snacks", is especially knowledgeable on pizza, hot dogs, wings and all things carbs.Patrick RyanPatrick is a Senior who attended St. Luke Catholic School. He was encour-aged to join light crew his freshman year by two awesome upper classmen (Eric and Kelby). Patrick is Edmund to his parents and Horatio to his friends. Theater has brought joy to our "old soul" young man.Sara Borland Look behind you. There’s Sara behind the sound board making sure you can hear all of the wonderful people up on stage. Sara first became involved with sound crew while in grade school at St Luke. She loves being a part of the

MEET THE COMPANYBishop Chatard Theater community.Sarah SemonSarah is a freshman from St. Matthew. She is so excited to be reunited with Ms. Holly! Hooked at age 7 by the Phantom on Broadway, Sarah has been aspiring for the stage ever since. She thanks her family, friends, and commu-nity for always supporting her dreams!Scoop ShumakerScoop is thrilled to be performing the classic role of Romeo, and he notes that this is one of the few times he has not worn a dress and high heels during a BCHS production. Other favorite parts have included Vincent Vega in his middle school production of "Pulp Fiction Junior", and Shaggy in the Scoo-by-Doo live action version of "Jeepers, it's the Creeper!". Scoop thanks his parents and sister for their endless support, recalling what the Bard himself said, "How sharper than a serpent’s tooth it is to have a thankless child!". Of course, as Shakespeare also said, "the trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine."Sophia DuraySophia is a senior and she will be playing the role of Juliet and some other Shakespearian men. When not playing young girls who fall in love too easily or uncles, Sophia can be found singing, playing her oboe or creating visual art. Sophia is grateful for the opportunity to be in this her first fall play, and for having the chance to learn more about acting under the amazing direction of Holly Stults. She looks forward to majoring in music and visual art next year, and plans to continue performing. Her family is so proud of her and loves her very much!Thomas GieddAfter submitting answers to a very strange online survey regarding which Shakespeare character you may be, the character given did not fit all. We soon learned that entering the same answers gave a different character each time. While your dad thinks your personality closely resembles that if Sir Toby Belch (it’s in the name), the truth is you have the qualities of several characters, and we are proud of all the good qualities you have been given. Best wishes tonight and always! Will MontgomeryWill’s parents are proud of his involvement in “The Complete Works of Wil-liam Shakespeare- Abridged” as Mom and Dad we’re inspired to name him Will after seeing the movie “Shakespeare in Love.” A senior at Chatard, this is his second show as part of the Sound Crew. A St. Simon alum, Will enjoys technology and is interested in studying Computer Science and Game Design in college.
