BASE RULES

1) RECEIVERS ARE COUNTED FROM THE CALL SIDE ACROSS.

2) 90/100 - SPRINT OUT "COMMON SENSE" RULE - BACKSIDE - INSIDE REC. RUN DRAG; OUTSIDE RECEIVER RUN POST.

3) 2 X 2 FORMATIONS (ACE/DOUBLES) -50 SERIES ROUTES ARE MIRRORED EXCEPT FOR CROSS. 70 SERIES ROUTES WILL HAVE A DOUBLE SLANT CONCEPT TO THE BOUNDRY. OUTSIDE RECIEVER WILL HAVE A 3 STEP SLANT AND THE INSIDE RECIEVER WILL HAVE A 1 STEP SLANT. BOUNDRY WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE QB WITH A (X) HAND SIGNAL.

4) 2X 1 FORMATION (DEUCE) - SINGLE RECEIVER RUNS - ”OPTION" ROUTE - FADE/SLANT/HITCH BASED ON CORNERS LEVERAGE - B RUNS ARC/CHECKDOWN ROUTE TO 1 RECEIVER SIDE.

5) 3X1 FORMATIONS ( TRIPS/TREY/ACE OVEr) - #3 RUNS DIVIDE ROUTE, UNLESS ANOTHER ROUTE IS TAGGED; SINGLE RECEIVER RUNS - ”OPTION" ROUTE - FADE/SLANT/HITCH BASED ON CORNERS LEVERAGE.

PASS PROTECTION

50/70 SERIES – HALF SLIDE PROTECTIONHalf Slide Protection is based on having the B Back insert into the open B Gap. The direction of the protection call is based on the defensive front, not the play call. VS. 40 FRONT Left guard will call the open B Gap – Roger for right, Louie for left. Right guard echoes the call so everyone is on same page.
