The Company’s maiden diamond drilling program in Chile on the Nany-Varas Project is currently nearing completion, with a total of 18 holes for 2,437 metres completed to date. The Project is located approximately 40km south along strike from the PanAust Codelco JV Inca de Oro Copper-Gold Project (Indicated and Inferred Mineral Resource of 259Mt grading 0.46% copper and 0.13g/t gold), within the world- renowned Inca de Oro mining district in Northern Chile’s Atacama Region. The Inca de Oro area has been extensively mined for copper and gold and is currently the focus of significant exploration activity targeting copper and vein gold mineralisation. The geological target at Nany-Varas, as indicated by mapping and surface rock sampling is a large auriferous, low-sulphidation vein system hosted in a dominantly andesitic volcanic and sedimentary sequence. Drilling by Whinnen has confirmed that the vein system extends over a strike length of 800m and to a depth of more than 300m below surface. Deeper intersections have begun to return base metal sulphide mineralisation including chalcopyrite, bornite, galena and sphalerite. A full listing of the assays received for the holes completed to date is detailed in Table 1. Drilling at the Nany-Varas Project has identified two distinct styles of mineralization as indicated by mineralogy and silver:gold ratios. The first style is a massive, quartz-vein hosted, gold-silver mineralisation (Ag:Au <10); and the second, a stockwork quartz vein hosted, copper-lead-zinc-silver, sulphide mineralisation with minor gold (Ag:Au>100). The silver-base metal zone is located in the footwall side of the vein structure at the north end and in the hangingwall side at the south end. Geological and geochemical modelling of the Nany vein is at an early stage due to the limited amount of data presently available (as approximately 50 per cent of the analytical data are still pending).

A possible “manto” style exploration target exists at the contact between the volcanic unit and the underlying volcanoclastics as seen in drill hole DDNN19 (see Figure 6). An increase in veining intensity was noted in the drill core at this contact, which may be due to the higher permeability of the volcanoclastic units and “ponding” below the volcanic contact. Assay results from this zone are pending. “These latest drilling results from the Nany Project are very encouraging,” commented Whinnen Resources Managing Director Tony Greenaway. “Recent drilling has intersected wide zones of base metal and gold mineralisation with some very high grade internal zones. Indications are the mineralisation is changing with depth.” “However, it is still early days for this Project, and we intend to wait for all of the outstanding assay results to come back from the laboratory to complete a full review of what we have found here before we embark on a more detailed, systematic and measured exploration campaign at Nany in 2012.”
