Piperazine Citrate Used In Treatment Of Helminthes Infestations

Piperazine Citrate is also used in therapy of helminthes problems for sheep, pets livestock, kitties and poultry. Major warnings and precautions for the same is- larval stages are ineffectively paralyzed and a repetitive treatment is needed in 2-4 weeks.

Heavy dosages may cause emesis, head pressing, incoordination and diarrhea in cats and dogs. Occasionally the pet may show symptoms like nausea, muscular tremors or vomiting with overdose.

Piperazine citrate W.S.P dosage for pets: For dogs and cats – 128.6 to 185.7 mg. Fr cattle and sheep and poultry – 91.4 mg is recommended.
