Preliminary results• 3433+ answers, all countries represented

• Cleaning and checking of profile of all organisations on-going to identify targeted population (public, autonomous organisations which do research) on-going

• Research Funding Organisations• Awareness of ERA in 2/3 of the respondents• But only 1/3 of RFOs seem to promote ERA

• Research Performing Organisations• Around 10% of Universities in each country answered

the survey

• Estimation of the value of the indicators based on the survey: on-going

• Analysis of results: May-June

• Dataset to be transferred to Research and Innovation Observatory for next year's survey

Interaction with ERAC (I)

• "Commission to prepare, in close interaction with ERAC, a first annual ERA progress report by the end of 2013".

• Three ways of interaction:• Via ERAC plenary (meetings in April, June, October)• Via ERAC ad hoc working group European Semester/ERA

Monitoring (first meeting 12 June, second 27 June, subject to approval work programme)

• Via ERAC working with ERA related groups (next agenda item)

• General aspects of the EMM/Progress Report (today, June meeting)

• ERAC could take ownership of the first ERA key priority "Effectiveness of national research systems" / competitive funding – builing on the Mutual Learning Seminar on R&I Policy

• ERAC could possibly also take into account relevant outcomes of the ad hoc WG on Cross Border Cooperation between RPOs
