Transcript of Why deal with the hand we are dealt?_Amanda Henrie
The ultimate hand everyone is dealt with is death. So why deal with the hand we are dealt? One of the most emo-tionally triggering deaths to most people is the death of a young child. The body has the potential growth of life but now it is short lived and its days are laid in a box. This young character is confined to its place like a face card in a deck of cards. In the game of life the hand she was dealt was death. Like playing a card game there is many differ-ent hand you can be dealt, so there is many ways the dead body can be put to rest as well. Here I want to display the lifeless body and face compared with the body in motion with the expressive face as a great sequence of seeing the chaotic humor from a child in such a dark issue. The narrative starts with the young subject understanding the seriousness of death by representing a lifeless body to the uncontrolled reaction of the subject when left to their own free will.
