ADVOCACY

John Dooley/ Gopher SportJohn is the Gopher Territory Sales Manager with whom many WHPE members are well acquainted. Since 1983, John and Gopher have sponsored numerous WHPE Convention and Best Practices related activities and many keynote speakers. They are one of the best partners WHPE can have and recognition of such via this Advocacy Award

is long overdue. WHPE thanks John /Gopher while looking forward to growing this relationship in the future.

Brian Goodmanson/Skatetime School ProgramsBrian and his boss, Jim Schwind have had a similar partnership with WHPE to that of Gopher. As representatives of Skatetime, they have sponsored our Convention favors (initially bags, and now diversifying to other items) for over 20 years resulting in having contributed $21,000+

to supplement WHPE Convention budgeting. It is long past time to acknowledge what Brian and Jim have done via advocacy to assist the WHPE Mission. WHPE recognizes past efforts and we are hopeful to continue this partnership. Thank you Skatetime!

Tom Strenger/ US GamesTom is the Midwest Regional Rep for US Games. They have conducted a picnic during Best practices and have contributed to Convention activities over many years. Most recently, Tom made the commitment to sponsor a session for WASB for 2019 (unfortunately, the proposal was not selected for inclusion, but has been resubmitted for 2020). US Games’ support and advocacy for the WHPE TOY’s was evident during 2018 Convention with the honoring of some 30+ past TOY’s

receiving a ¼ zip pull over and additional recognition and support for the newly selected TOY’s. Because of the commitment shown to the WHPE Mission thru these activities, we recognize Mr. Strenger / US Games, looking forward to continued partnerships to advocate for quality HPE.
