First, a Quick Explanation to Guide YouThis slide deck makes reference to 3 product items:

Vipor - already on the market since December 18th, ’14, replacing the original VIPorbit product. It is a single-user version, presently designed only for the Apple Mac, iPhone and iPad products, managing your networks of relationships in both your business as well as social networks, along with being a full-featured activity manager and to-do list. Previous investment produced this. In the Apple world, there is a dearth of solutions of this type.

Vipor Pro - as of June 2015 already 90% complete and already in alpha testing phase. Intended release of first version anticipated in September of this year. It will be a multi-user version and will have a unique real-time and selective collaborative functionality across both your business as well as social networks in this single solution. Its subsequent release will include basic project management capability with task assignment and monitoring as well as messaging between collaborators along with document attachment. It will be based on a 30-day free trial period, and after that users will subscribe for a nominal monthly fee based on the number of “Orbits” that they share. Previous investment has funded it up to this point. This round is meant primarily to market it after release, and only nominally to fund the remaining 10% of development.

Vipor Web - With this round becoming fully funded, part of the funds will then also be used to develop a cloud-based version of Vipor and Vipor Pro, essentially meaning we can significantly expand our market to additionally engage all Android and Windows users and become device and platform agnostic. It will also be offered as a 30 day free trial, after which user(s) will pay a nominal monthly subscription fee.

Mobile App Usage Growth by Category

Shopping and Productivity Apps Drive Growth in 2014

Total mobile app usage increased 76% globally in 2014, led by the growing popularity of shopping and productivity apps, according to new data from Flurry.

• Usage of shopping apps exhibited the highest growth over the course of 2014 at 174%. The category's growth rate more-than doubled from 77% in 2013. Flurry's data aggregates trends from both the iOS App Store and Google Play on Android.

• Smartphone users continue to lean on their devices to conduct productivity tasks that in the past were typically reserved for desktops or notebooks. Productivity app usage jumped 121%, which is down slightly from 149% growth in 2013, but usage still more-than doubled over the course of 2014.

• Messaging and social apps, which led the way in terms of growth last year, again exhibited triple-digit growth, though its growth rate halved from 2013 to 2014. 

• Health and fitness apps also exhibited an acceleration in growth. Usage in this category grew 89% in 2014 compared to 65% growth in 2013. 

• Mobile behavior is shifting from entertainment to task-related apps. Usage of mobile stalwart app categories like games, music, and other media apps is steady but growth has slowed. 

The data is based on 2.079 trillion app sessions on apps using the Flurry Analytics platform as of Dec. 31, 2014.
