Wright-Bernet has ties to Hamilton, Ohio as far back as 1935. The

company was originally on Bender Avenue in Hamilton, and then moved

to Symmes Rd. when it outgrew the old location. In 2008 it was

purchased by DQB Industries, Inc. and moved to Lavonia, Michigan. We

purchased the Wright-Bernet Grooming Brush Division, and are also

bringing back other models of brooms and brushes that we are being

asked to make in this industry and others. Our brushes have been used

on many animals including horses, cattle, goats, dogs, and swine. You

pick the brush that will work the best for your particular animal.

Our Classic Wood Blocks that we make our brushes out of cost more

than plastic blocks; however they tend to hold the fiber much better

and can be lasered with various designs or even your logo; whereas

plastic cannot. ** NOTE ALL LASERED BRUSHES ARE $1.25 MORE EACH.

OUR LOGO OR YOURS EITHER SIZE BLOCK. After 2 years of owning

Wright-Bernet we have finally had to purchase new Fiber after using up

what we purchased from DQB. Fiber has went up substantially. As a

result we have had to raise some of our prices; however we have been

able to lower some of our production costs on the smaller blocks as

reflected in the new price list. The natural fibers come from all over the

world depending upon where they grow. Horse Hair comes from China,

and Mexico and are subject to some tariffs or crossing fees. Plastic

Fibers are made here in the USA. All mfg. is done here in the USA,

mainly at our Hamilton, Ohio plant. When you turn over one of our

brushes and look at the fibers, you will see more fiber than you will the

actual wood block. That is because we pack our brushes pretty tightly

so you can get your work done much faster than you can with an import

brush that has much less fiber. We also still own Moser Leather

Company. We contract tan our mostly American Hides in tanneries here

in the states and Mexico. We finish the hides here in Hamilton, making

Harness, Latigo, and dyed leathers. We offer strip and die cutting

services and some finished goods as indicated.

For larger than 72” you still must purchase 3 bundles of a size and

color. If you go below the above stated minimums then we have to

charge you 20% more than the listed price above. You might want to

try some of our logger lace style laces below which you only have to

buy one bundle at a time.

We are doing a Logger Lace that is done on Indian Tan Alum and then

stuffed with our waxes like harness leather. We call these Logger

laces, and we basically do these as a straight cut lace. We treat the

hide and block it to whatever length it is and cut the hide and you buy

in bundles of 100 one at a time. It will be in dark brown earth tones

(not guaranteed) or in black.

40 – 60 is $60 per bundle of 100

82” plus is $115 per bundle of 100

3/16” Deerskin – 9 foot long laces - $2.50 per lace… minimum cut is

one hides worth – 6-8 lace
