Did You Know?According to the DoDEA, children in military families face unique challenges that are unparalleled in the general student population. As military families transition from one duty station to another, the average child will move six to nine times during a school career.

Common stresses involved in relocating are loss of friends, moving away from family, and the emotional challenge of starting over—again.

Homeschooling helps military parents and children avoid public school strains imposed by differences in achievement standards, school protocols, and course offerings. In addition homeschooling allows them the ability to spend time together when missions and deployments have the potential to tear them apart.

Your membership provides families with critical support during these challenging times.
