Revelation 17:1 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying, "Come here, I will show

you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters,

The Angel is not identified. Revelation 16:17 identifies the 7th

bowl is judgment, poured out upon Babylon the Great, which is identified as a “the great city.” Babylon is a great harlot/prostitute (identified in v.5). Isaiah 1:21 “See how the faithful city (Jerusalem) has become a harlot.” Jerusalem is called a harlot many times in the Old Testament. Harlot symbolizes spiritual adultery of Israel, unfaithfulness, when God’s people turn from the worship of the true God to following and worshipping a false god of idols.

The great harlot sits over many waters (Explained in Revelation 17:15). She was appointed to sit “rule over” the multitudes, many different peoples (races), nations and languages. Jeremiah 51:13 prophesies judgment; “You who dwell by many waters, abundant in treasures, your end has come, the time for you to be cut off.” Revelation 17:18 tells us the woman (The harlot) is the great city that rules/reigns over the kings of the earth (she has authority).

week will be worldwide in scope, exporting Anti-Christ worship to the world.

Revelation 17:2 with whom the kings of the earth committed acts of immorality and those who dwell on the earth were made drunk

The woman will intoxicate (corrupt) the kings of other nations of the earth with her immorality/fornication). Jeremiah 3:6 “Then the LORD said to me in the

days of Josiah the king, "Have you seen what faithless Israel did? She went up on every high hill and under every green tree, and she was a harlot there.” Israel was to model true worship to the nations. Deuteronomy 12:2 "You shall utterly destroy all the places where the nations whom you shall dispossess serve their gods, on the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree.” Severe judgment awaits future Jerusalem. All the nations are guilty of sins against God, but this specifically applies to End Times Jerusalem who will export her Anti-Christ, false Messiah worship to many nations who will be made drunk with false worship. Jeremiah 50:24 O Babylon… you opposed the Lord. Ezekiel 16:35-36. Jeremiah 51:7

End Times Jerusalem will entice the world to worship the future

Anti-Christ.

Revelation 17:3 And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness; and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast, full of

blasphemous names, having seven heads and ten horns.

John is being directed by the Holy Spirit and is taken into the wilderness. The meaning of the wilderness, translated in KJV and most other versions, is DESERT. So, John was carried away in the spirit to the desert. This clue rules out the Vatican or Rome, of New York and Washington DC. The desert is a reference to where Jesus, John and many of Israel’s prophets went to fast, pray and receive revelations from God. Mecca, and its totally Anti-Christ religion, while in the desert of Saudi Arabia, does not fulfill all the clues, as we shall see. The woman (an additional End-Times player) is not operating alone. She has a cohort, the Scarlet Beast of Revelation 13. She “sits on,” suggesting she rides this Beast to power. As we proceed, we will see this composite Beast is described several times in the Bible: Revelation 13:1 Describes the composite Beast as a Lion, a Bear & a Leopard = Modern day Iraq, Iran, Greece/Turkey. Revelation 13:1-3 = Revelation 17:3 “Blasphemous names” refers to being against Christ and false religion. The Catholic church may be guilty of putting traditions over the Bible, but they are certainly not Anti-Christ. Again, can’t be the Vatican. The USA, while guilty of many sins, is not Anti-Christ. False religion originated at the tower of Babel in historic Babylon, but it is nowhere near water, which symbolizes the nations. Jerusalem was guilty of rejecting Jesus (Yeshua) the Messiah at His first Coming. History will repeat itself during the End Times, when Jerusalem (The woman) will again reject Yeshua and ride the Scarlet Beast (Anti-Christ) to

The woman, Mystery, Babylon is the city of Jerusalem (End Times Jerusalem) who will ride the Beast (Anti-Christ) to power and direct worship to the Beast in the first half of Daniel’s 70

th week.

Sadly, this will lead to her utter two-fold






power in the first half of Daniel’s 70th

week. Daniel 11:36 and 2 Thess. 2:4 tells us Anti-Christ will speak monstrous things against the God of gods, while claiming to be God. Daniel 7:7, 20 explains the “the beast with 7 heads” represents seven historic kings that severely persecuted Israel & blasphemed God. The point is that the spirit of Anti-Christ has been manifested in past kings who tried to destroy Israel. Revelation 17:10 …and they are seven kings; five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; and when he comes, he must remain a little while. These are five fallen Antichrist-like kings. Some suggestions include; 1. Pharaoh, king of Egypt during the time of Moses and the Exodus 2. King of Assyria who destroyed and dispersed the northern 10 tribes of Israel 3. Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon who demanded all bow sown to his image 4. Naman of Medo-Persia / Iran 5. Antiochus Epiphanes of Syria who desecrated Israel’s temple 6. Nero of Rome who persecuted the saints or the Eastern kingdom of Rome which gave rise to Muhammed & the Islamic Caliphate. Adolph Hitler should make the list. 7. Finally the actual Antichrist, the final and worst king of all. The 10 horns or Kings are the 10 future kingdoms forming the final kingdom of the Antichrist. Jerusalem will initially join forces with the Antichrist and ride him to power in the first 3 ½ years of Daniel’s 70

th week. The Beast is scarlet in color representing Satan, the Red dragon of Revelation 12:3. It is covered

with blasphemous names. Satan’s 7 historic beast kingdoms will re-manifest themselves as Mystery Babylon in the End Times.

Revelation 17:4 The woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her

hand a gold cup full of abominations and of the unclean things of her immorality, The woman is symbolically dressed (adorned) in purple and scarlet, glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls indicating blessings of riches, status, strength and prosperity. Some suggest her dress is designed to attract people to her wealth and power, away from the true God. In reality, it is much more. This is a reference to the Old Testament (every single clue given in Revelation 17 & 18 is about Israel and Jerusalem) where the colors purple and scarlet are used 29x in O.T. and have to do with Temple worship and regulations (but notably absent is the color blue). Exodus 26:1 "Moreover you shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twisted linen and blue and purple and scarlet material;” In fact, everything in the Temple made of cloth (curtains, veil, hangings, cloths of service ephod of high priest etc.) contains the colors “blue, purple, and scarlet.” Exodus 25-39 has 78 references to these three colors. Why is blue absent? Blue is Israel’s color; Think of Israel’s flag. The woman (Jerusalem) is personified in Ezekiel 16. She was born by Abraham and Sarah. She was not any better than the other nations, but God chose her. God identifies with her and she grows up, and becomes beautiful. God blesses her abundantly and she becomes exceedingly beautiful young woman in the days of her youth. He gives her jewelry, riches and makes her exceedingly beautiful and rich. She is going to be used by God to attract the nations to worship the true God, the God of Israel. But something changes. She chooses to leave God and plunges into darkness and plays the harlot. Ezekiel 16:15 "But you trusted in your beauty and played the harlot because of your fame, and you poured out your harlotries on every passer-by who might be willing. Ezekiel 16:17 "You also took your beautiful jewels made of My gold and of My silver, which I had given you, and made for yourself male images that you might play the harlot with them.” Ezekiel 16:35 “Therefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD.” God exposes her sins and abominations and predicts her judgment for becoming a harlot. Jeremiah 51:7 “Babylon is a gold cup in God’s hand, and made the whole earth drunk, and they have gone mad.” The nations drank her “wine” Revelation 18:6 "Pay her back even as she has paid, and give back to her double according to her deeds; in the cup which she has mixed, mix twice as much for her.” The Woman corrupts the world as she points the nations to the Anti-Christ, the false messiah.

The colors are

significant as the refer back to Temple

Worship in Jerusalem. Noticable absent is

blue, Israel’s true and faithful color. God loves and cares for her, but Jerusalem becomes a harlot,

falling in love with the Anti-Christ, and

seducing the nations to follow him, instead of Jesus Christ. They

sign a covenant of death with him,

thinking they will be protected, instead it is a covenant of death.

Revelation 17:5 and on her forehead a name was written, a mystery, "BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS

AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH."

On her forehead Exodus 28:36-38 "You shall also make a plate of pure gold and shall engrave on it, like the engravings of a seal, 'Holy to the LORD.' 37 "You shall fasten it on a blue cord, and it shall be on the turban; it shall be at the front of the turban. 38 "It shall be on Aaron's forehead, and Aaron shall take away the iniquity of the holy things which the sons of Israel consecrate, with regard to all their holy gifts; and it shall always be on his forehead, that they may be accepted before the LORD. Mystery” indicates we are not to take it as literal Babylon. Mystery means secret. This is a secret name, not a literal name. This excludes the literal city of Babylon in Iraq. “Mystery” Babylon the Great is the secret name for “End Times Jerusalem” and Future Jerusalem is a harlot. Luke 23:28-30 But Jesus turning to them said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, stop weeping for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. 29 "For behold, the days are coming when they will say, 'Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never nursed.' 30 "Then they will begin TO SAY TO THE MOUNTAINS, 'FALL ON US,' AND TO THE HILLS, 'COVER US.' Peter the Apostle lived in Jerusalem. Acts 8:1, 12:1-4, 12:12, Galatians 1:18, 2:19 Mystery Babylon The “Mother” of harlots and will become the worst offender of all, the most extreme example of all. Mystery Babylon did not give birth to all the false religions of the world, but she is by far God’s most extreme example, and will become the greatest of all false religions. Mystery Babylon is a false religion, that will point the world to the Anti-Christ. Another key clue is “She is an abomination” and will give rise to the Abomination of Desolation or the Antichrist (Matthew 24:15 with Daniel 8:13, 9:27, 11:31, 12:11) when the man of sin is revealed (2Thessalonians 2:3)! It can’t refer to the USA who is responsible for funding >90% of the spreading of the gospel in the world. Islam is guilty of false religion and worships another god, Allah, definitely not the God of the Bible and radical Islam is the most evil system today, but future Mystery Babylon, Jerusalem, will be guilty of something worse. The Catholic Church believes Jesus is God and Lord and teaches the Trinity and worships God of Bible. USA has been the greatest exporter of gospel in history. USA founded on principles and of the God of Bible. Historic Babylon, The idea is not, false religion was birthed here, rather she will become the greatest of all false religion in the history of the world. Ezekiel 16:43-44 "Because you have not remembered the days of your youth but have enraged Me by all these things, behold, I in turn will bring your conduct down on your own head," declares the Lord GOD, "so that you will not commit this lewdness on top of all your other abominations. 44 "Behold, everyone who quotes proverbs will quote this proverb concerning you, saying, 'Like mother, like daughter.' Even little clues like “forehead” point to Mystery Babylon’s

corruption of God’s temple worship. The

high priest had a golden plate on his forehead enscribed

with “Holiness to the Lord.”

The ultimate

abomination is when Jerusalem will direct

its worship to the Antichrist and entice the gentile nations to

follow her lead Matthew 24:15. This

heinous sin will lead to Jerusalem’s destruction.

Revelation 17:6 And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. When I saw

her, I wondered greatly. Mystery, Babylon is drunk or intoxicated with the blood of the saints and martyrs, who bore testimony to Jesus the Messiah.” She will kill masses of Christians and Jews. Today, Islam is particularly blood thirsty for Christians and Jews “Jihad.” ISIS & Saudi Arabia are linked to “beheadings.” Definitely not USA, not United Nations, not Iraq. Islam is guilty of being Anti-Christ, promoting false doctrine of Sharia law & martyrdom of Christians, but is not guilty of killing Jerusalem’s prophets. Both Roman Catholics and Protestants in the past have been guilty of shedding the blood of saints, but again, not Israel’s

prophets. Jerusalem will join with the Antichrist in the extreme persecution of Christians and Jews and the Two Witnesses. And this will result in the final stage of discipline from God outlined in Deuteronomy 28-32. Revelation 11:7-8 When they (The two witnesses) have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them and kill them. 8 And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which mystically is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified. Matthew 23:34-36 "Therefore, behold, I am sending you prophets and wise men and scribes; some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city, 35 so that upon you may fall the guilt of all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. 36 "Truly I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation. Revelation 18:24 "And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints and of all who have been slain on the earth." Mystery, Babylon (Jerusalem) will be the final concentration of martyrdoms and reigns of terror, making her responsible in the same sense that all the blood from Abel to Zacharias the prophet was to be required of the Pharisees living at the time of Jesus (Mt. 23:35-36). The idea is that of cumulative sins and judgment. God will punish Babylon with destruction and wrath equal to what she would receive if she were responsible for all that were ever slain upon earth. Her destruction will culminate the wrath of God started under the 6th seal in the first 3 1/2 years of Daniel's 70th week (Rev. 6:12-17). Revelation 20:4 Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

embrace the Antichrist during

Daniel’s 70th

week.

Revelation 17:7 And the angel said to me, "Why do you wonder? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that

carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns. The angel interprets the mystery portrayed in the prostitute and the beast. Two mysteries are to be explained: (1) the identity of Mystery Babylon (The Woman) , and (2) the identity of Antichrist or the Beast. John begins with more information concerning the Beast which Mystery, Babylon (Future Jerusalem) rides. It has seven heads who are seven kings who have tried to annihilate the Jews throughout history. The world’s wonder/amazement and worship of the Beast is directly connected to his deadly head wound being healed and his rising from the dead. It is an identifier of the Anti-Christ. Two distinct key End Times players are the topic of Revelation 17 & 18; Mystery, Babylon (Future Jerusalem) and the future Anti-Christ. Mystery, Babylon rides the Beast (Anti-Christ) to power, suggesting that in the beginning of Daniel’s 70

th week, she may dominate and exert some control over the Antichrist.

It doesn’t last for long. The same Beast is described in Revelation 12 ( Satan), Revelation 13 describes the Anti-Christ and the False Prophet, and Revelation 17 & 18 describes Mystery Babylon’s (Future Jerusalem’s) relationship to the Anti-Christ and the 10 kings.

Here, we learn that there are two

mysteries to be explained: (1) the identity of Mystery

Babylon (The Woman) and (2) the identity of

Antichrist or the Beast.

First, John gives us






Here, John provides us with additional information concerning the beast that Mystery Babylon rides, which has seven heads and ten horns. The beast, Mystery Babylon’s companion, refers to both the Antichrist. This is the same beast John saw in Revelation 13 – the beast that has seven heads and 10 horns. The angel begins to explain to John that the seven heads represent seven specific kings. In other words, this beast is a composite of seven historical, identifiable kings in history, all who were Satanically inspired to have an unholy hatred of Israel. Revelation 13:1-10 And the dragon stood on the sand of the seashore. Then I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns were ten diadems, and on his heads were blasphemous names. 2 And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like those of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his power and his throne and great authority. 3 I saw one of his heads as if it had been slain, and his fatal wound was healed. And the whole earth was amazed and followed after the beast; 4 they worshiped the dragon because he gave his authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast, and who is able to wage war with him?" 5 There was given to him a mouth speaking arrogant words and blasphemies, and authority to act for forty-two months was given to him. 6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, that is, those who dwell in heaven. 7 It was also given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him. 8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain. 9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear. 10 If anyone is destined for captivity, to captivity he goes; if anyone kills with the sword, with the sword he must be killed. Here is the perseverance and the faith of the saints. 11 Then I saw another beast (The False Prophet) coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb and he spoke as a dragon. 12 He (The False Prophet) exercises all the authority of the first beast (Anti-Christ) in his presence. And he makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed. 13 He (The False Prophet) performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down out of heaven to the earth in the presence of men. 14 And he (The False Prophet) deceives those who dwell on the earth because of the signs which it was given him (The False Prophet) to perform in the presence of the beast (Anti-Christ), telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast (Anti-Christ) who *had the wound of the sword and has come to life. 15 And it was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast would even speak and cause as many as do not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, 17 and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six. In the end times, there will be a final beast and kingdom, which will be composed of 10 kings/kingdoms, and will be more powerful and cruel in its hatred toward Israel than all the previous seven kings. And, the consolidation of the final beast empire - Antichrist’s kingdom, will take place with the help of Mystery Babylon (Future Jerusalem). There will be a strong connection between the rise of the Antichrist and Mystery Babylon. Mystery Babylon is pictured “riding” the Beast, which might suggest in the beginning of Daniel’s 70th week, she dominates and exerts some control over the Antichrist. This tandem team will violently attack and persecute true believers. Revelation 17:9-10 "Here is the mind which has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits, 10 and they are seven kings; five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; and when he comes, he must remain a little while. The Ten horns are the future 10 kings who will make an alliance with the Anti-Christ, forming a powerful and evil coalition that will influence the entire world. These kings will kill Mystery, Babylon the Woman and burn her with fire at the middle of Daniel’s 70

th week.

Daniel 7:23-25 "Thus he said: 'The fourth beast will be a fourth kingdom on the earth, which will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth and tread it down and crush it. 24 'As for the ten horns, out of this kingdom ten kings will arise; and another will arise after them, and he

Beast (The False

Prophet) who will probably be a Jew,

claiming to be Elijah, calling down fire from heaven and raising the

dead.

Satan cannot raise the dead. Ultimately, God

will raise the Anti-

Revelation 17:8 "The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to come up out of the abyss and go to destruction. And those

who dwell on the earth, whose name has not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, will wonder when

they see the beast, that he was and is not and will come.

Revelation 17:8 The Beast (Antichrist & his final 10 nation kingdom) will live, then die and go into the abyss/bottomless pit, then come to life again. He once was, now is not, and will come up from the abyss. There are 3 stages of the Beast’s existence: Phase 1: The Beast existed in the past as one of the 7 heads Kings). Phase 2: There will be a time when the beast does not live, after he receives his mortal head wound and goes to the abyss. Phase 3: The beast will have an existence in the future when he is healed from the deadly head wound and comes to life again (Revelation 13:3). Conclusion: The Beast actually dies from a fatal wound and comes to life again. The abyss or bottomless pit is a prison for spirits of the dead and demons. It is where Jesus went when he was dead for three days. Romans 10:6-7, Acts 2:27-32. “Coming up from the abyss” means resurrection from the dead which is why the world is amazed with the Anti-Christ. The Beast literally will receive a mortal head wound from a sword, dies, and goes to the abyss. He is healed from the deadly head wound, ascends from the bottomless pit and rises from the dead. Revelation 13:3 I saw one of his heads as if it had been slain, and his fatal wound was healed. And the whole earth was amazed and followed after the beast; Those who dwell on the earth refer to the unsaved, as their names are not written in the book of life. Again, this is the same beast of Revelation 13:1 And the dragon stood on the sand of the seashore. Then I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns were ten diadems, and on his heads were blasphemous names. This is not a reference to Revelation 9:11 They have as king over them, the angel of the abyss; his name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in the Greek he has the name Apollyon.” This angel, Abaddon, is not from the put, rather he has rule over those in the bottomless pit. This angel is more likely “the death or destroying angel” of Exodus in Moses day. In the Great Tribulation he will oversee the demons released for 5 months to persecute the ungodly.

The world’s wonder/amazement and worship of the

Beast is directly connected to his

deadly head wound being healed and his rising from the dead.

It is an identifier of the Anti-Christ.

Kings 1,2,3,4,5,6…….. Then 7 and 8. King

#7 and 8 are still unknown today. We should not be looking for the next kingdom. We should be looking

for a king.

Revelation 17:9 (NASB) 9

"Here is the mind which has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits,

Revelation 17:9 The Beast has seven heads, they are seven mountains, and they are also seven kings. The translation of a city on “7 hills” is not what is being taught, rather 7 heads = 7 mountains = 7 kings. This is consistent with Revelation 13 and 17:3 where the seven heads are seven kings. We are then given more information about these seven kings. Revelation 13:3 tells us one of the seven heads will have a mortal head wound and come back to life. In other words, the seven heads represent the seven Satanic beast leaders who have persecuted Israel. The seven kings or mountains represent seven Satanic rulers who had an unholy hatred of Israel.

The Woman, Mystery Babylon, sits upon the Beast and rides him to

power.

The Beast with 7 heads represents 7 kings (Revelation 13:3). Five have fallen (died), one is (alive in John’s day), the other has not yet come (#7 is future), but when he does he must remain a little while or short time (Revelation 12:12, Daniel 7:25) or 3 ½ years [a time, time and half a time], 42 months, 1260 days. The “remains a little while” virtually eliminates the Islamic Caliphate as it was one of the largest empires in history and lasted 1400 years. And we are looking for a king, not a kingdom. In other words, there is still a future king to come (and we will soon learn the 7

th king, will also become the 8

th king.)

1 John 2:18 Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour. Daniel 7:7, 20 explains the “the beast with 7 heads” represents seven historic kings that severely persecuted Israel & blasphemed God. The point is that the spirit of Anti-Christ has been manifested in past kings who tried to destroy Israel. Revelation 17:10 …and they are seven kings; five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; and when he comes, he must remain a little while. These are five fallen Antichrist-like kings. Some suggestions include; 1. Pharaoh, king of Egypt during the time of Moses and the Exodus 2. King of Assyria who destroyed and dispersed the northern 10 tribes of Israel 3. Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon who demanded all bow sown to his image 4. Naman of Medo-Persia / Iran 5. Antiochus Epiphanes of Syria who desecrated Israel’s temple. The next king is the one living in John’s day; 6. Possibly, Nero or Domintian of Rome who severely persecuted the saints. Finally, John refers to the future king, 7. The actual Antichrist, the final and worst king of all, the one who will receive the fatal wound and live again. Other kings could be considered, kings who had an unholy hatred of God’s people: Nimrod, Judas, Muhammed & the Islamic Caliphate, the most Anti-Christian religion of today, and Adolph Hitler should make the list too. Some teach these are not simply kings, but kingdoms of former “Anti-Christs.” For example, 1. Egypt 2. Assyria 3. Babylon/Iraq 4. Medo-Persia/Iran 5. Greece/Turkey 6. Rome – Eastern kingdom gave rise to Muhammed & the Islamic Caliphate. All will be revived in the future forming the final kingdom of the Antichrist. (Note, all are Middle Eastern nations.) That makes some sense, but that is not what John says. He does not use the Greek word for “Kingdom,” he uses the word “king.” In fact, in Revelation 10:11 John seems to distinguish between kings and kingdoms: “And they *said to me, "You must prophesy again concerning many peoples and nations (Kingdoms) and tongues and kings." Antichrist is a king, a person, not a kingdom. Yes, he will control certain kingdoms, but they major point is that he is a man, called the Abomination of Desolation. I believe Anti-Christ will be a composite man, probably Jewish blood (A Jewish mother from the tribe of Judah?), perhaps some Muslim blood (A Gentile Father) or extremely well educated in the Muslim faith, and in the beginning he will embrace Christianity.

All these kings are types or pictures of kings who represent the final Anti-Christ.

We are not told directly who they are, but we can make an

educated guess.

The identification of the 7

We are given more information concerning the apparent resurrection of the Anti-Christ. Not only does he ascend out of the bottomless pit (Revelation 17:8), one of these seven kings is the eight, meaning one of them, will rule twice. It seems apparent that the 7

We have already seen the Beast has a body with 7 heads which represent 7 kings, not kingdoms. This is the same beast of Daniel 7. Now we learn the 10 horns represent 10 kings who have not yet received a kingdom. However, they are contemporary with the Anti-Christ. They give him support and will rule with the Antichrist during Daniel’s 70

th week, the final seven years prophesied by Daniel 9:27. Three of the kings will be subdued by force.

Daniel 7:8 "While I was contemplating the horns, behold, another horn, a little one, came up among them, and three of the first horns were pulled out by the roots before it; and behold, this horn possessed eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth uttering great boasts. Some nations, in the beginning of Daniel’s 70

th week, will resist and be forced to untie with Anti-Christ and his plan to invade Jerusalem.

Daniel 11:25-27 "He will stir up his strength and courage against the king of the South with a large army; so the king of the South will mobilize an extremely large and mighty army for war; but he will not stand, for schemes will be devised against him. 26 "Those who eat his choice food will destroy him, and his army will overflow, but many will fall down slain. 27 "As for both kings, their hearts will be intent on evil, and they will speak lies to each other at the same table; but it will not succeed, for the end is still to come at the appointed time. We are not told how the horns are distributed (all on one head, one on each head, on the back of the beast, so it must not be important.) We are told The 10 kings have one purpose, to give power and authority to the Beast (Antichrist). Interestingly, their one purpose is coming from God, as we will learn in verse 17. The 10 kings will be against the “holy covenant” which will give Israel a restored temple and daily sacrifice. Israel will believe this is the fulfillment of the “new covenant” of Jeremiah 31:31. Daniel 11:28-30 "Then he will return to his land with much plunder; but his heart will be set against the holy covenant, and he will take action and then return to his own land. 29 "At the appointed time he will return and come into the South, but this last time it will not turn out the way it did before. 30 "For ships of Kittim will come against him; therefore he will be disheartened and will return and become enraged at the holy covenant and take action; so he will come back and show regard for those who forsake the holy covenant.

Israel will be given their national temple and dasily sacrifices.

Revelation 17:14 "These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of lords and King

of kings, and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful." The 10 future kings (most likely an Islamic coalition in the Middle East) who pledge allegiance to the Beast (Antichrist) will unite and will make war with the Lamb (Jesus Christ) at Armageddon. Their power is given to the Beast so he can wage war against Christ. The 10 horns/kings make up his final empire. Jesus will overcome them because He is Lord of Lords and King of kings – and with him will be the called, chosen and faithful followers (The Church, the 144,000 and the Remnant in Israel). Jesus will defeat the Beast and the 10 kings at the Battle of Armageddon in valley of Megiddo in Israel. Revelation 16:12-16 The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river, the Euphrates; and its water was dried up, so that the way would be prepared for the kings from the east. 13 And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs; 14 for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty. 15 ("Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his clothes, so that he will not walk about naked and men will not see his shame.") 16 And they gathered them together to the place which in Hebrew is called Har-Magedon. (Armageddon). This is the unholy trinity and demonic spirits on a suicide mission to the battle of Armageddon..






BACK TO MYSTERY, BABYLON

Revelation 17:15 And he *said to me, "The waters which you saw where the harlot sits, are peoples and multitudes and nations and

tongues. Mystery Babylon sits on the waters you saw (v.1). Both the beast and the Woman sit on the waters. They represent peoples, multitudes, nations and languages. John turns his focus back to the identity of Mystery Babylon, giving us additional information to solve the riddle of her identity. Mystery Babylon, the city, has great influence and is associated with many different peoples, nations and languages.

The Anti-Chrost will masquerade as the

Messiah and will make Jerusalem his world

capital.

Revelation 17:16 "And the ten horns which you saw, and the beast, these will hate the harlot and will make her desolate and naked,

and will eat her flesh and will burn her up with fire.

The ten horns ( The 10 kings who pledge allegiance to the Anti-Christ and his final kingdom) and the Beast will eventually come to hate Mystery Babylon. We are not directly told why, but his power is overwhelming as no one can make war with the Beast (Revelation 13:4, 7). In the beginning of Daniel’s 70

th

week they are cohorts as Mystery Babylon helps the Beast (Antichrist) and his 10 kings to rise to power. In the middle of Daniel’s 70th

week, they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire (destroy) Mystery. Ezekiel 16:38-43 "Thus I will judge you like women who commit adultery or shed blood are judged; and I will bring on you the blood of wrath and jealousy. 39 "I will also give you into the hands of your lovers, and they will tear down your shrines, demolish your high places, strip you of your clothing, take away your jewels, and will leave you naked and bare. 40 "They will incite a crowd against you and they will stone you and cut you to pieces with their swords. 41 "They will burn your houses with fire and execute judgments on you in the sight of many women. Then I will stop you from playing the harlot, and you will also no longer pay your lovers. 42 "So I will calm My fury against you and My jealousy will depart from you, and I will be pacified and angry no more. 43 "Because you have not remembered the days of your youth but have enraged Me by all these things, behold, I in turn will bring your conduct down on your own head," declares the Lord GOD, "so that you will not commit this lewdness on top of all your other abominations. Israel and Jerusalem will choose to ignore and dismiss the prophetic warnings from God. Isaiah 28:14-15 Therefore, hear the word of the LORD, O scoffers, Who rule this people who are in Jerusalem, 15 Because you have said, "We have made a covenant with death, And with Sheol we have made a pact. The overwhelming scourge will not reach us when it passes by, For we have made falsehood our refuge and we have concealed ourselves with deception."

Jerusalem/Israel will make a “covenant

of death” with the Anti-Christ.

The midweek invasion

Jeremiah 50:24. Babylon will be utterly destroyed by God so that no return. Jeremiah 50:29-34. Babylon is called the proud or “arrogant one.” Jeremiah 50:31-36 Babylon is home to foreigners and rich treasures. Jeremiah 50:37 Babylon is a full of idols and her people love them. Jeremiah 50:38 Babylon represented the strongest power of its day. Jeremiah 50:42, 51:33 Babylon’s army will be completely annihilated. Jeremiah 51:2-5. Babylon is so wicked in the end, she cannot be healed. Jeremiah 51:9 Babylon is a "destroying mountain" destroying others; she will be destroyed and become "a burnt mountain". Revelation 11:2

The first destruction of Jerusalem (Phase 1) occurs at the midpoint of Daniel’s 70

th week,

which starts the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21), aka the Time

of Jacob’s trouble (Jeremiah 30:7).


"For God has put it in their hearts to execute His purpose by having a common purpose, and by giving their kingdom to the beast,

until the words of God will be fulfilled. God has put in in their hearts (the 10 kings) to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to allow the Beast to rise to power, so that God’s words are ultimately fulfilled. This refers to all the Old Testament prophecies warning about the final Middle East Beast and his Satanic attempt to wipe out Israel and God’s people. Ultimately God’s purpose is to establish his kingdom on earth. Jeremiah 51:11 Sharpen the arrows, fill the quivers! The LORD has aroused the spirit of the kings of the Medes, Because His purpose is against Babylon to destroy it; For it is the vengeance of the LORD, vengeance for His temple. Jeremiah 51:51-56 "We are disgraced, for we have been insulted and shame covers our faces, because foreigners have entered the holy places of the LORD's house." 52 "But days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will punish her idols, and throughout her land the wounded will groan. 53 Even if Babylon reaches the sky and fortifies her lofty stronghold, I will send destroyers against her," declares the LORD. 54 "The sound of a cry comes from Babylon, the sound of great destruction from the land of the Babylonians. 55 The LORD will destroy Babylon; he will silence her noisy din. Waves [of enemies] will rage like great waters; the roar of their voices will resound. 56 A destroyer will come against Babylon; her warriors will be captured, and their bows will be broken. For the LORD is a God of retribution; he will repay in full.

The Anti-Christ and his 10 kings will hate the

harlot (future Jerusalem) and burn her flesh with fire,

fulfilling God’s ordained discipline

upon Jerusalem.







"The woman whom you saw is the great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth."

The woman you saw (Mystery, Babylon) is a great city (Future Jerusalem) that rules over the kings of the earth (Gentiles). Mystery Babylon represents a future Anti-Christ religion. Mystery Babylon is called a city eight times. It is Anti-Christ’s future city, the city of the abomination of desolation. In the last verse of this chapter the angel declares that Mystery, Babylon is a THE great city, a reference to future Jerusalem. Revelation 11:8 And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which mystically is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified. Acts 2:36 "Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and Christ—this Jesus whom you crucified." Daniel 11:31-33 "Forces from him will arise, desecrate the sanctuary fortress, and do away with the regular sacrifice. And they will set up the abomination of desolation. 32 "By smooth words he will turn to godlessness those who act wickedly toward the covenant, but the people who know their God will display strength and take action. 33 "Those who have insight among the people will give understanding to the many; yet they will fall by sword and by flame, by captivity and by plunder for many days. Jeremiah 50:23-26 How broken and shattered is the hammer of the whole earth! How desolate is Babylon among the nations! 24 I set a trap for you, O Babylon, and you were caught before you knew it; you were found and captured because you opposed the LORD. 25 The LORD has opened his arsenal and brought out the weapons of his wrath, for the Sovereign LORD Almighty has work to do in the land of the Babylonians. 26 Come against her from afar. Break open her granaries; pile her up like heaps of grain. Completely destroy her and leave her no remnant. Jeremiah 51:33 This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: "The Daughter of Babylon (The prophetic end times Great City of Revelation 18 is the outgrowth of its mother, “historical Babylon.”) is like a threshing floor at the time it is trampled; the time to harvest her will soon come."

The term “great city” is used ten times in

the Book of Revelation. The great sity is Jerusalem of the

future, from where the Anti-Christ will

rule. Jerusalem’s title is “the great city.”


After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illumined with his

glory. “After these things” represent the completion of the events of Revelation 17, the judgment of Mystery Babylon and the Beast she rides. Chapter 18 represents a new vision by another angel and will focus on the wealth of the city and its temple. This new angel has great power and illuminates the entire earth, perhaps referring to a very high ranking angel (Cherubim).

Revelation 18:1 After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven. He had great authority, and the earth was illuminated by his splendor. 2With a mighty voice he shouted: "Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great! (An angel with immense authority announces the fall of Mystery Babylon. It had been previously announced in Rev 14:8 “A second angel followed and said, "Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great, which made all the nations drink the maddening wine of her adulteries.") She has become a home for demons and a haunt for every evil spirit, a haunt for every unclean and detestable bird. (The clear implication is that this city/nation was once more virtuous than she is now! In the beginning, God blesses this nation. In the end, she forsakes God!







And he cried out with a mighty voice, saying, "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a dwelling place of demons

and a prison of every unclean spirit, and a prison of every unclean and hateful bird.

Mystery Babylon, the Great City, was chosen to rule over the kings of the earth. She is a city surrounded by many waters (Gentile nations). At one point she had faith in the true God, “a gold cup in His hand” but has forsaken Him and demonstrates spiritual adulteries as she points the world to the Antichrist, the false Messiah, as he rises to power. She is a city that believes she is a “queen” and will never experience judgment. However, she will be utterly destroyed in one hour by fire. God destroys Mystery Babylon, using a devastating attacking army from the North. After the attack, she will never be inhabited again. This angel has a strong voice (Revelation 5:1-2) is a cherub. Mystery Babylon is a physical city on the earth, and the angel begins to describe it for us. The angel refers back to the Old Testament warnings of Jerusalem’s final condition. Isaiah 21:8-10 And the lookout shouted, "Day after day, my lord, I stand on the watchtower; every night I stay at my post.

9 Look, here comes a man in a

chariot with a team of horses. And he gives back the answer: 'Babylon has fallen, has fallen! All the images of its gods lie shattered on the ground!'" 10

O my people, crushed on the threshing floor, I tell you what I have heard from the LORD Almighty, from the God of Israel. It seems the destruction of Mystery Babylon by the ten kings under Anti-Christ’s rule is imminent. It has not yet happened, but we are about to witness it. The city has become the home of multiple hateful demonic beings. Mystery Babylon is the habitation of dragons and a court for owls. This could be describing the utter desolation the city is about to endure, and it is only fit for beasts and birds. More likely, this is a reference to the demons who inhabit and gather with in Anti-Christ’s capital city during the End Times.


"For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the passion of her immorality, and the kings of the earth have committed acts of

immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich by the wealth of her sensuality." All the nations of the earth are being deceived Mystery Babylon and her loyalty to the Anti-Christ, her false Messiah. Rev. 13:3 All the world wondered after the Beast. Rev. 13:8 All that dwell upon the earth shall worship hi. Rev. 13:6 all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond… shall receive his mark (666). All nations have drunk of the passion of her fornication, she is so deceived she passionately supports and worships her false messiah, her king and her supposed husband. All the kings of the earth, even the rulers Lamentations 4:11-13 The LORD has accomplished His wrath, He has poured out His fierce anger; And He has kindled a fire in Zion Which has consumed its foundations. 12 The kings of the earth did not believe, Nor did any of the inhabitants of the world, That the adversary and the enemy Could enter the gates of Jerusalem. 13 Because of the sins of her prophets And the iniquities of her priests, Who have shed in her midst The blood of the righteous, Are committing spiritual fornication with Jerusalem. In some way these kings of the earth have similar motivations (a financial interest), as the merchants of the earth who are making fortunes on this city and the lavish tributes, elaborate temples, celebration and honor to the Anti-Christ. They are selling their






goods and supplies to grow this city, massive building projects etc. causing an economic boom. Perhaps this is referring the result of paying great tribute to the Anti-Christ, making his capital city exceedingly prosperous and wealthy. Jerusalem will be the epicenter of worship for the Anti-Christ. There is probably nothing in the past or present that can be compared to the city Anti-Christ will devote to himself. Jeremiah 50:38 A drought on her waters! They will dry up. For it (Mystery Babylon) is a land of idols, idols that will go mad with terror. Jeremiah 51:7 Babylon was a gold cup in the LORD'S hand; she made the whole earth drunk. The nations drank her wine; therefore they have now gone mad.”

Revelation 18:4-5 I heard another voice from heaven, saying, "Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her

sins and receive of her plagues; 5

for her sins have piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.

Then I heard another voice (Jesus Christ) from heaven say: "Come out of her (Mystery Babylon, Jerusalem), my people. John 10:27, 6:37 39-40 My sheep hear my voice, and they follow me. There are still some faithful in Mystery Babylon (future Jerusalem). 1/3 of the faithful Jews will follow the Messiah Yeshua and leave Jerusalem. 2/3 apostate Jews will hate God, be held responsible for killing the prophets and the Two witnesses, accepting the Anti-Christ (claiming to be God) and his False Prophet (claiming to be Elijah). So that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues (Get out of the city because it is about to receive undiluted wrath and judgment and utter destruction is imminent. The Mt. of Olives is about to be split allowing the people to leave the city, before the final bowl of wrath is poured out upon Jerusalem Rev. 16:17-21.); Zechariah 14:4-5 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south. 5 And you will flee by the valley of My mountains, for the valley of the mountains will reach to Azel; yes, you will flee just as you fled before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD, my God, will come, and all the holy ones with Him! God has remembered her crimes. (Again, this is the voice of God announcing the end-times nations sins have piled up to heaven. However, God is unwilling to pour out his wrath and plagues of judgment upon her, until He first calls His people out of her. This is consistent with His warning and removal of Lot and his family before fire fell on Sodom and Gomorrah. In God’s time, his people will need to literally “come out of her” because she has exhausted God’s patience and her sins have piled up as high as heaven. Jerusalem sins have reached their fullness of their sins. The total sins allotted by God has been reached. (Some nations have a threshold of evil before they are judged see Genesis 15:16, Daniel 8:23). Matthew 23:31-35 fill ye up then the measure of your fathers… A similar charge was issued by the prophet Jeremiah; Jeremiah 50:8 Flee out of Babylon; leave the land of the Babylonians, and be like the goats that lead the flock.






Jeremiah 51:6 Flee from Babylon! Run for your lives! Do not be destroyed because of her sins. It is time for the Lord's vengeance; he will pay her what she deserves. Jeremiah 51:8-9 Babylon will suddenly fall and be broken. Wail over her! Get balm for her pain; perhaps she can be healed. [9] 'We would have healed Babylon, but she cannot be healed; let us leave her and each go to his own land, for her judgment reaches to the skies, it rises as high as the clouds.' Jeremiah 51:41-45 "How Sheshach (Babylon) will be captured, the boast of the whole earth seized! What a horror Babylon will be among the nations! The sea will rise over Babylon; its roaring waves will cover her. Her towns will be desolate, a dry and desert land, a land where no one lives, through which no man travels. I will punish Bel in Babylon and make him spew out what he has swallowed. The nations will no longer stream to him. And the wall of Babylon will fall. Come out of her, my people! Run for your lives! Run from the fierce anger of the LORD. There is still a “killing of the prophets in Jerusalem, yet to be fulfilled. Specifically, Rev 11:8 the killing of the Two witnesses in Jerusalem. This event occurs at the end of Daniel’s 70

th week, right before the bowl judgments begin.

Revelation 18:6-7 "Pay her back even as she has paid, and give back to her double according to her deeds; in the cup which she has

mixed, mix twice as much for her. 7

"To the degree that she glorified herself and lived sensuously, to the same degree give her

torment and mourning; for she says in her heart, 'I SIT as A QUEEN AND I AM NOT A WIDOW, and will never see mourning.'

Revelation 18:6-7 Mystery Babylon is about to be judged for what she has done to His people. Give back to her as she has given; pay her back double for what she has done. Mix her a double portion from her own cup. Jeremiah 16:18 quote Context is a future judgment after they have been gathered back to the land. 7 Give her as much torture and grief as the glory and luxury she gave herself. In her heart she boasts, 'I sit as queen; I am not a widow, and I will never mourn.' (Mystery/Prophetic Babylon’s sins are so terrible in the end times; she is worthy of a double portion of God’s wrath. Mystery Babylon is given over to an exalted, self-glorifying view of herself. But now, she is woefully independent of God, prideful, haughty, egotistical and given over to luxury, wealth and self-indulgence. And, she is incredibly arrogant, because she considers herself to be untouchable and above any real humiliation or calamity. She is convinced she will never fall and defeat can never happen to her, and she will not see sorrow.”) Again, Mystery Babylon, Jerusalem believes she has found her king, and she is his queen. He is her husband and she is confident in the Beast to take care of her and defend her. She will be his queen forever, and will never be a widow or see any sorrow. She will be deceived that she is in the Messianic age and her Messiah has arrived. Isaiah 47:7-8 You said, 'I will continue forever-- the eternal queen!' But you did not consider these things

(She rides the Beast to power) I will never be a widow or suffer the loss of children.' Jeremiah 50:31-32 See, I am against you, O arrogant one," declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty, "for your day has come, the time for you to be punished. [32] The arrogant one will stumble and fall and no one will help her up; I will kindle a fire in her towns that will consume all who are around her.

Revelation 18:8 "For this reason in one day her plagues will come, pestilence and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up

with fire; for the Lord God who judges her is strong. MYSTERY BABYLON’S JUDGMENT WILL OCCUR IN A SINGLE DAY, IN ONE HOUR (Revelation 16:10,19). This verse is in contrast to the previous verse when Mystery Babylon declares she will see no sorrow and her perceived security with the Beast. The actual fact is that she will be judged in one day. One day, and one hour are used to describe the suddenness of her destruction. An earthquake will divide the city into three parts, supporting that her judgment will be sudden. The destruction probably has two phases:

1. What the 10 kings do to her at the middle of the week. Rev. 17:16 Fire, burning, smoke… 2. What God does to the city at the end of Anti-Christ’s reign, at the very end of the Great Tribulation.

Revelation 18:8 Therefore in one day her plagues will overtake her: death, mourning and famine. She will be consumed by fire (complete destruction), for mighty is the Lord God who judges her. Amos 3:2 " You only have I chosen among all the families of the earth; Therefore, I will punish you for all your iniquities." Jeremiah 51:58 This is what the Lord Almighty says: "Babylon's thick wall will be leveled and her high gates set on fire; the peoples exhaust themselves for nothing, the nations' labor is only fuel for the flames."

Revelation 18:9-10 "And the kings of the earth, who committed acts of immorality and lived sensuously with her, will weep and

lament over her when they see the smoke of her burning, 10

standing at a distance because of the fear of her torment, saying, 'Woe,

woe, the great city, Babylon, the strong city! For in one hour your judgment has come.' Revelation 18:9-10 "When the kings of the earth (Not the 10 kings who burned her) who committed adultery with her and shared her luxury (lived deliciously with her) see the smoke of her burning, they will weep and mourn over her. 10 Terrified at her torment, they will stand far off and cry: " 'Woe! Woe, O great city, O Babylon, city of power! In one hour (lightning fast destruction) your doom has come!' (Jeremiah confirms that in a single day, in one






hour, the conquering force from the North will deal a death-blow to the end-times nation and she will be consumed by fire. A fire is kindled in the cities of Babylon from the accurate arrows (missiles). Jeremiah 50:3 A nation from the north (of Israel) will attack her and lay waste her land. No one will live in it; both men and animals will flee away. Jeremiah 50:9 For I will stir up and bring against Babylon an alliance of great nations from the land of the north. They will take up their positions against her, and from the north she will be captured. Their arrows (missiles) will be like skilled warriors who do not return empty-handed. Jeremiah 50:39 "So desert creatures and hyenas will live there, and there the owl will dwell. It will never again be inhabited or lived in from generation to generation. [40] As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah along with their neighboring towns," declares the Lord, "so no one will live there; no man will dwell in it. [41] "Look! An army is coming from the north; a great nation and many kings are being stirred up from the ends of the earth. Jeremiah 50:44 "Behold, one will come up like a lion from the thicket of the Jordan to a perennially watered pasture; for in an instant I will make them run away from it, and whoever is chosen I will appoint over it. For who is like Me, and who will summon Me into court? And who then is the shepherd who can stand before Me?" Jeremiah 50:45-46 Therefore, hear what the Lord has planned against Babylon, what he has purposed against the land of the Babylonians: The young of the flock will be dragged away; he will completely destroy their pasture because of them. [46] At the sound of Babylon's capture the earth will tremble; its cry will resound among the nations.

fine linen, purple, silk and scarlet cloth These items are a part of a set too. Most used phrase in Exodus, referring to all items made of cloth in the temple (see Exodus 30). However, there is a notable absence of the color “blue” mentioned in the O.T. Blue represents Israel’s right relationship with God. Mystery Babylon is not in a right relationship with God and blue is left out. In Ezekiel 16 God speaks of dressing Israel in her youth, but as a grown woman she goes astray, becoming a harlot. Interesting, silk is added to the list, and only used one other time in the N.T. and rarely in the O.T. Proverbs 31:22 Proverb of a righteous woman who wears silk. Ezekiel 16:10, 13 use silk in a much the same way describing a young faithful woman, dressed by God. A few verses later, Ezekiel 16:14-15 while retaining her original clothing, she now uses it to attract men as a harlot, worshipping false gods. In Revelation 18:12, God is telling us he originally decked Jerusalem as His queen, but she turned to other gods, specifically Anti-Christ. every sort of citron wood, (from algum trees, a very costly wood which Solomon used in the Temple and the king’s palace, terraces, doors, musical instruments etc.) 2 Chronicles 9:10-11 and articles of every kind made of ivory, 1 Kings 10:18-23 items imported to Jerusalem to make great thrones of ivory, Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches… costly wood, bronze, iron and marble; Only other time used in scripture 1 Chronicles 29:2 when King David gathered items for Solomon to build the Temple. 13 cargoes of cinnamon and spice (odors), of incense (Perfumes), myrrh and frankincense (an anointing oil for priests), (all four items used in Exodus 30 recipe instructions for temple worship, specifically holy anointing oil and incense. Jeremiah 51:41-44 How Sheshach (Babylon) will be captured, the boast of the whole earth seized! What a horror Babylon will be among the nations! and were crying out as they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, 'What city is like the great city?'

In one hour The suddenness of the city’s destruction is expressed. In other places it is expressed as one day. A third group of onlookers is introduced; they are people who are on the Mediterranean sea. The kings and the merchants did the same thing. Again, they stay at a distance for some reason. Jerusalem is only 34 miles from the sea, and the smoke is easily visible. Smoke from 9/11 was seen from more than miles away. This verse is a problem for those who insist it is literal Babylon that is being referred to, which is 300 miles from the nearest sea (the Persian Gulf). such great wealth has been brought to ruin!' "Every sea captain, and all who travel by ship, the sailors, and all who earn their living from the sea, will stand far off. (The destruction of Mystery Babylon will occur in one hour and be seen by sea captains and sailors from afar.) Jeremiah 51:13 You who live by many waters (the gentile nations Rev. 17:15) and are rich in treasures, your end has come, the time for you to be cut off.

How desolate is Babylon among the nations! God has pronounced judgment on Mystery Babylon, just as he promised in Revelation 6:9,10

Concerning the saints and apostles and prophets. Just as Jerusalem in Christ’s day was held accountable, so will future Jerusalem, Mystery Babylon, be held accountable: Matthew 23:34-35

"Therefore, behold, I am sending you prophets and wise men and scribes; some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you

will scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city, 35

so that upon you may fall the guilt of all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel (not a Jew) to the blood of Zechariah (A Jewish prophet), the son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar (Like the Two witnesses of Revelation 11), 36 "Truly I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.

Revelation 18:21 Then a strong angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, "So will Babylon, the

great city, be thrown down with violence, and will not be found any longer. This is the strongest verse (argument) against Jerusalem being Mystery Babylon. Some object, saying Jerusalem cannot be completely destroyed, because she exists in the Millennium, and the New Jerusalem comes down from heaven to earth at the end of the Millennium in the eternal kingdom. The answer is in the last chapters of Ezekiel 40-48. In exact detail the Millennial Jerusalem is described, with a new temple and new divisions of land. The description of the Millennial Jerusalem is very different that the Jerusalem that exists today and in Daniel’s 70

th week. In fact, the name of the city will be

changed from Jerusalem to “Yahweh Shamah or “The Lord is There.” Future Jerusalem’s physical location will change and be different. The Millennial city will be 9x larger than current Jerusalem. Also, the temple in the old Jerusalem is located in the city. The Millennial temple is located outside the city and is huge, 36x bigger than Solomon’s temple, able to hold 2 million people. The city in the Millennium is located on a high plateau, and has two rivers running out of it. Ezekiel 48:35 "The city shall be 18,000 cubits round about; and the name of the city from that day shall be, 'The LORD is there.'" (Yahweh Shamah) We must realize once the utter destruction occurs, old Jerusalem, will be divided into three parts by a severe earthquake, changing the entire topography of the land forever. Old Jerusalem no longer exists. (See maps).

Revelation 18:22-23 "And the sound of harpists and musicians and flute-players and trumpeters will not be heard in you any

and the light of a lamp will not shine in you any longer; and the voice of the bridegroom and bride will not be heard in you any

longer; for your merchants were the great men of the earth, because all the nations were deceived by your sorcery.

Revelation 18:22-23 Then a mighty angel picked up a boulder the size of a large millstone and threw it into the sea (one big instant splash), and said: "With such violence the great city of Babylon (Future Jerusalem) will be thrown down, never to be found again. The great city will be destroyed suddenly and completely. 22The music of harpists and musicians, flute players and trumpeters, (The Recording and Music industry) will never be heard in you again. No workman of any trade (Trade Unions destroyed) will ever be found in you again. The sound of a millstone will never be heard in you again (all production of any kind comes to an abrupt end). 23The light of a lamp will never shine in you again (The brightness of this city is extinguished). The voice of bridegroom and bride will never be heard in you again (No Joy!). Your merchants were the world's great men (leading business men of the world). By your magic spell (Drugs - Jeremiah calls it intoxication.) all the nations were led astray. Jeremiah 7:29-30 (KJV) 29 Cut off thine hair, O Jerusalem, and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on high places; for the LORD hath rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath. 30 For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the LORD: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to pollute it. Jeremiah 7:34 "Then I will make to cease from the cities of Judah and from the streets of Jerusalem the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride; for the land will become a ruin (This is the Abomination the causes Desolation). Jeremiah 25:10 Moreover, I will take from them the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones and the light of the lamp.

Jeremiah 51:2-4 I will send foreigners to Babylon to winnow her and to devastate her land; they will oppose her on every side in the day of her disaster. [3] Let not the archer string his bow, nor let him put on his armor. Do not spare her young men; completely destroy her army. [4] They will fall down slain in Babylon, fatally wounded in her streets.

Revelation 18:24 "And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints and of all who have been slain on the earth."

Only Jerusalem is held responsible for killing the prophets and shedding the innocent blood of the saints. 2 Kings 24:3-4 Surely at the command of the LORD it came upon Judah, to remove them from His sight because of the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he had done, 4 and also for the innocent blood which he shed, for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; and the LORD would not forgive.
