• Crowdsourcing ideas, information etc
• Continuing professional development
• Impact & reputation
Why should researchers give a tweet about twitter?
• Tweeting links to your blog or research papers increases the rate of download
• More readers = greater potential for impact/citations
• Increase your visibility through networking
