DiskbayOnline: Your disk in the datacenterDiskbayOnline is basically hard disk colocation. Weplace your disk in one of our servers in the datacenter.You can access the disk through the VPS providedwith this service. The guest OS of that VPS is FreeNASor Debian and you are free to use de VPS and yourdisk in any way you like. Placing multiple disks is alsopossible. E.g. a RAID set can be build for redundancy.

Why DiskbayOnline?Prices of harddisks are low. But when you ask an hosting provider to store your data, the price per Gbyte is much higher than you would expect in comparison with the pricing of disks. The reason is that the hosting provider stores the data at least twice and will make backups to a redundant server. Four times the storage is used, even though you probablyonly need one copy of your data. The data is stored on their servers. So you have to assume that it is safe.That is why with DiskbayOnline you buy the disk and we only make sure you can use it.
