The President had picked up from his desk and took to the table a draft of a speechconcerning wages, prices an d economy. He said he would very much like to give thisaddress in Austin on Friday next and was asking Judge Heath s suggestion as to whathe thought about even giving it at the University to an economics class, group, etc.

He then said he wanted everyone at the table to hear it and proceeded to read itthoroughly. He made mention that he would prefer to address a small (300) businessmensgroup there in Austin - but in exploring the meetings, conferences and goings-on inAustin, there was really no groupmeeting that day he could talk to. The Presidentwas obviousl y anxious to make this address somewhere and was deliberate in doing so
