REPORT OF MEETING HELD MARCH 12: Submitted by Sharon Natenberg
Annual Meeting Information: All residents are encouraged to attend our POA annual meeting, Monday, April 8 at 7:00pm at the Clubhouse. You should have received announcement of this meeting from Chaparral Management with information on voting for two new Board representatives. As in past years, we will be awarding two checks for $50 in order to encourage attendance: one to a resident who sends in his/her proxy and another to a person who attends the meeting. Come to our meeting—not only for the chance to win $50—but also to hear about actions by the Board, an analysis of our finances, to ask any question of our Board, and to vote on new representatives.
We want to thank all of our Board members for another successful year of volunteering for our neighborhood. A special “thank you” goes to Phil Anderson, our current president, who will be coming off the Board after serving for five years. Phil’s attention to detail and his experience in construction have kept us aware of neighborhood issues before they became problems. The Board and the neighborhood owe Phil a hearty “Thank You.”
Thank you to all our Board members: Sharon Natenberg, Peter Vogel, Arthur Oden, and Bill Carpenter. Thank you to the committee chairs for their many volunteer hours: Dianne Moynihan – Swimming Pool; Maria Carra – Clubhouse; Shirley Willis – Newsletter Editor; Cheryl Shaw and

Cherri Hornsby – Welcoming; Bill Heuer – Beautification; Dan Winters and Tom Laarman – Architectural Review Committee and Deed Restrictions; and Martin Littmann – Website. “Thanks” to Judy Gordon of Chaparral Management for her steadfast guidance.
Security: Two homes under construction in the 6000 and 6100 blocks of Terravita had the copper wire stripped from the A/C units. Our condolences to the family on Glenmere whose loved one passed away of natural causes. There were only 3 house alarms and 16 other general calls. Our Constables are patrolling for speeders and those who don’t completely stop at the stop signs. Everyone needs to slow down!
Action Items: Dead trees and underbrush in our park are again being acted upon. Mosquito fogging has started. As you prepare to spruce up and renovate around your home and yard, don’t forget to submit an Architectural Review Application that you can get on our website or from Chaparral Management.
Swim Team: Registration is Sunday, April 14, 2-5 at the pool. The home swim meets are: May 12th- Practice Meet; May 26th – Candlelight Hills; June 9th – Bridgestone; June 23rd – Divisional Meet. Thank you to all the families who volunteer their time to make the swim team such a wonderful experience for our kids.
Reminder to Last Month’s Reminder: Trash cans need to be out of sight except when they are waiting to be picked up.
The heat is coming. We wish you all a pleasant spring that eases into a tolerable summer!
