►Advantages• Easy, wide range of handpiece placement

• Simple, integrated design for cleaner look

• Supports left- and right-handed positioning for multiple

operators

►Considerations• Requires clearance for control arms

• Tubing management

Continental Delivery (Chair-mount)

►Advantages• Best ergonomics for handpiece delivery

• Balances electric handpieces

• Trans thorax to side positioning

• Reduces eye fatigue from ocular accommodation

• Prevents instruments from dropping to the floor

• Supports left- and right-handed positioning for multiple

operators

►Considerations• Extended learning curve

• Requires clearance for control arm

• May intimidate the patient

Rear Delivery (Cabinet-mount)

►Advantages• Instrumentation out of patient's view

• Increased work surface

• Offers an uncluttered, stand-alone chair

• Supports left- and right-handed positioning for multiple

operators

►Considerations• Requires more body movement

• Two hand transfer between doctor and assistant

• Increased pullback on handpiece tubing

Side Delivery (Cabinet-mount)

• Offers an uncluttered, stand-alone chair

• Instrumentation easily positioned

►Considerations• Difficult to position if working direct

• Dedicated to either right- or left-handed use
