Among the hills of northern Kentucky, where the sun kisses the ridges, and the wind whispers a soft lullaby, a haven without a sense of time or urgency slowly emerges. This is Owen County and Ragtime Lodge. The quiet winding roads give way to spectacular views, rushing creeks, vineyards and the pageantry and tradition of the local foxhunt. Ragtime Lodge’s Bed, Barn and Breakfast is nestled in an area that enjoys a strong arts and crafts movement, Kentucky’s largest winery, the famous Kentucky Horse Park, Keeneland Race Track, antiques shops, sporting clays, golf and fox hunting. There is easy access to air-ports in Cincinnati and Lexington. Ragtime is quietly situated deep within 160 acres, with an absence of
air or land traffic noise to soothe and relax. Ragtime conscientiously
works to reduce its impact on the environment by harvesting rainwa-
ter and wood from the land.
