Over time religions have MAJORLY expanded throughout the world
There are three MAJOR religions
Hinduism is extra old like one of the oldest religions
Third largest number of adherents reincarnation One god Braham
Hinduism first chilled in the western part of India and began diffusing eastward
Reached full potential in India and Pakistan
Siddhartha became known as Buddha He is often depicted with a big belly
many people like to RUBB ; )
it is what they do in Japan ( well mostly) Tis a mixture of Buddhism
Made in china (hehe) Tenderness, tranquility, spontaneity, and
simplicity are virtues War = BAD
Don’t get confused , Confucianism is also made in china
Confucius’s teachings are the basis
the man (Chinese gov’t) has been trying to stop the spread of religion
But it still got into Korean Peninsula, Japan, and Southeast Asia
Only have one god Traditions are from the teachings of
Abraham
Be chillin in the Middle East and North Africa, Russia, Ukraine, Europe, and parts of North and South America
they like Jesus split into Roman Catholic and Eastern
Orthodox Then into Protestants They’re the biggest
They take up a lot of space 40% of the world is Christian
Youngest of major religions Traced back to prophet Muhammad
Fastest growing Arabian Peninsula ,Egypt, Morocco, Spain,
Portugal, Middle East, Iran, and Pakistan
Local They like nature
community faith follow their shaman- religious leader,
teacher, and healer
indifference to or rejection of organized religious affiliations and ideas
Only 59 percent of Americans think religion it’s important
